Great video. Are the back 'heel' leathers different? I don't see that option on their site to choose from and was wondering how he ordered them that way. thanks!

No they are not a different leather. I think you may be confused is because of the color difference. That is due to the heel counter cover being stretched. Because the leather is so stuffed with oils, stretching the leather forces the oils to move out the way. This results in a lighter color in the leather, but it is the same leather across the entire boot. Hope this helps!

These are their natural color double stuffed leather. No extra dyes, means more drastic patina and character with age.
Hi Man, Thanks for your nice video and beautiful boots! As I am ordering my first Nicks may I ask you about your experience with sizing. I wear sneakers 11 and other boots /Red wings,wolverines/ 10.5D with merino socks.Fitted perfect. Should I order same size with Nick’s. Thanks!

Yeah my dad ordered half size down is regular sneaker size. If they have laces, stick with the same size of ur redwings. If they don't have laces, the store recommends sizing another size down. For example if I wear size 8 in vans sneakers, I'd order a 7.5 in their laces boots, but a 7 in non laces. You also get one free exchange per order just in case.

@@thedapperdiary Hi, Thanks for your reply! Very helpful information. I will fallow your advice as it matches with most of what I found here. All my boots use laces. Only thing I am still not sure is the width. My Iron Rangers leather is attachable like any good quality leather. I suppose to wear with between D and E, but as there is no such a size I ordered D. For Nick’s I think maybe to order width E. Still waiting for them to answer my email. Will keep in touch. I will let you know.

@@thedapperdiary No the Overlanders have a lower block heel. These are a custom build but they most closely resemble the Robert except they are 8 inch tall instead of 6 like the Roberts.
Those are amazing...its crazy though,the leather looks just like my wickett látigo leather. And my wickett double stuffed boots look so much lighter.
