Nick was actually a homemaker when he was an unemployed actor. He took care of his home with Meghan Mullally when she was working and had her dinner ready when came back from the studio.

Personally, I think that farmers are never given enough credit. They work extremely hard 24/7 and in all kinds of weather. Behind every good farmer is a strong supportive wife or partner. To me they are also heros.

Being a homemaker is a valued career too but it doesn't mean women should be limited in choosing a career.

I love Nick Offerman!! He is so intelligent and has so much class. Not to mention he loves Wendell Berry’s works. As a Kentuckian, Mr. Berry is such a wonderful person.

I don’t think that was a jab at all. He was saying that you can get a degree and still choose to work at home. You can do anything you want. Nick is proof of that!

Now invite someone from Big AG to discuss factory farming, where 99.9% of food actually comes from. This little romantasized segment on farming is a fairy tale compared to what actually takes place on CAFOs, Controlled Animal Feed Operations. Shocking and heartbreaking simultaneously. But I don't think 'The View' has the cajones to do that.

If you follow this farmer and her husband, they talk about the realties all the time and why people choose to farm intensively. They very much do not live in a quaint fantasy world. Their land is in a very specific place where crop growing just does not work and the only way to farm is livestock.
