Ron Howard is to be so admired. Grew up from a child star to an amazing director.. He is also humble and a fantastic family man. Not many Hollywood marriages last 49 years. Kudos' to Ron

Exactly. Without looking it up, I have no idea how old he is now, but if he's celebrating his 49th wedding anniversary, he's got to be in his 70s for sure. Let's celebrate these legends before it's too late!

Ron Howard is an actor, producer and Director is such a lovely and talented person that I have NEVER heard a negative comment ever made about him since he played Opie in the 60’s. I love how he choked up about his wife

Jim Henson passed away at our hospital in North Carolina. He was visiting his mother. Caught a cold that went into severe pneumonia and it overwhelmed his exhausted body. It was so sad

I’ve been watching him since he was on the Andy Griffith Show. Many years ago I met Jim Nabors and he loved Ron Howard.

Opie was great...but my favorite child performace of Ron's was as Shirley Jones little brother Winthrop in The Music Man.

Ron Howard would be the only reason I'd tune in to the view, which is why I'm here. I was stunned to see on his social media that he spoke on The View. Had to see what the topic was. If the view ladies kept to shows like this one, they might be worth watching.

He was also the little stuttering kud in The Music Man.

Ron and Clint Howard’s book The Boys was excellent. They would each tell their version of stories of their childhood and would have different takes on events growing up with in Hollywood. Highly recommend
