Those "niche" channels are very, very broad niches. I mean Mark does experiments about everything, MKBHD does phones (everyone uses those) and DP does trick shots. Content everyone can consume.

I found that many successful creators combine two niches into one, which basically creates their own unique niche which leads to growth due to a lack of competition

This video is super good! especially educational for new creators like me. I now understand the importance of a niche a lot more, and I'm happy that I'm in a niche! not only was this educational for creators, but it was also really entertaining and I understand that choosing a niche will help make more money, brands want to know what specific audience is seeing their products.

I don't think I'd call Mark Rober a "Niche" creator, sure he does science, but it's presented in a way more similar to Mr. Beast. He doesn't get into the nitty-gritty of the science he's doing, and, in fact, frequently uses more complicated science words that his general audience won't understand, just to sound more science-y. TL;DR, Unless the creator talks about their topic in a way that, you need some idea of the topic beforehand to understand, I would not consider that a niche.

  • @TylerTalksYT

I think your reaction is super valid - he for sure presents the niche in a more MrBeast style for a wider appeal. But he still makes ONLY science videos, which I believe puts him “in a niche”, despite being able to pull 20M+ views each vid.
