This is really good :)
I’ve had the axe now for over 15 years now n both my bro and I have still not snapped the handle yet. Great investment. Maybe the shallow angle of the ax would be better than the splitter on that kind of stuff. Holds a good edge also.
Basically Aussie wood is about the same as crackin open rocks lol

Some are good but others, yep, are terrible.
I wedge tough wood, you have to keep pressure on it until you can get another wedge in it

Yes, that's right. This wood does warrant wedges for sure.
If you get a 24 ld or 12 kilo monster maul with a steal handle you will throw that tiny ax away I've split more wood than most and never got to use a hydraulic splitter. Look them up and you will never break another handle.!!

Sounds like a good idea. Not sure if I could lift a 10kg+ maul too easily but I'd give it a go. I'll look out for one.
