As an Oilers fan, congrats for the big win first of all, and regarding our 82nd, which is the final game of this season @ the Avs, that one is gonna be really difficult bc coming into that match we have to play that as a b2b as the day before we play at Arizona plus the Avs are very good at home. Scheifele and Monahan both miss an empty net in the 3rd😔 The Jets are gonna be an easy sweep in the playoffs if they dont turn up their intensity level to match these other true playoff contenders

The Jets traded a 1st, 2nd next year and 3rd round pick this year on rental players. When 16 teams make the playoffs the mathematical odds are this is just a waste of resources. Tons of jets fans were defending this and it is generally foolish. The team who wins the cup can go on about how great trading for rental players is but you got to think you really 1 or 2 players away from a cup win to be serious enough to risk it. Most teams are not that close in the first place.

Jets are finding ways to lose. I hope Dillon got an earful and a benching for the stupid, selfish penalty late in the game that led to the Sens' winning goal.

After scoring the first goal, the Jets immediately give up a nice four on one, Ottawa then scores, and then immediately followed up by a three on one, and then proceed to lull your fans and self destruct in front of your sellout “Fan Appreciation Day” crowd and hockey night in Canada. Like Confucius used to say ……. Not very impressive !

Ottawa is -33.5 goals below expected with their goaltending. If you agree with the stat that 6 goals for or against equal a win, league average goaltending would have them at 80-81 points. Not contenders but wildcard at least.
