Samsonov for sure. But Marner was skating on very thin ice in the shootout - he momentarily lost the handle at an instant when the puck was not being advanced. Really iffy. But he was like a cat that somehow lands on all fours (..or maybe the ref blinked?); I think Marner's great and was glad he wasn't shamed.

@@paulthompson8793You obviously know nothing about goaltending and the importance of team defense! Sammy was screened on the 1st goal. 2nd one he had to respect the possible shot from the open middle, readjust in a split sec and try to lunge over to his right post. 3rd one, he did the right thing kicking the rebound to the side, but his d-man Reilly poor effort didn't block the rebound chance. Leafs D coverage was porous at times and they left Sammy out to dry. The team has a very potent offense, but has to do a far better job with their team defense(that might mean acquiring a Stay @ Home top 4 d-man).

It's funny how some of the hockey experts don't even know this kid is a young Bobby Probert. A 6.7" beast that delivers bone crushing hits and will fight anyone. He's courageous and skates really good for a big man. Rempe is all heart and will do whatever it takes to play in the NHL. If the Leafs had an intelligent GM, he would be on the phone making a solid offer for this kid. Once a good coaching staff works with this kid, he very well could score 50 goals by just standing in front of the other teams net. Who's going to move him? he already scares most of the league. Remember Yzerman and Probert? if that kid is not worth a first rounder for what he brings then people don't know much about hockey. The trade value of this kid is going to go way up soon. As I said a intelligent GM should be trading for this kid. Rempe would look so good in Chicago with Bedard, they would be like best friends. If anyone touches Bedard then here comes the 6.7" monster.

@@Blake-jz5bh That would've beat anybody . What a shot . I'm a goalie ( hate to toot my own horn ) but my reflexes are quick as a cat hence why that's my best position . I was playing road hockey ( because the weather's been decent as of late to be able to do so ) with my roommates son earlier today . But damn though does he ever have a release AND skill . He got me a couple of times and I got him a couple we just propped each other when we got each other . But man the best one he did the Zegras Michigan flip assist ( against Buffalo ) then came around the front of the net and batted it in himself . Like how just how ? That hasn't even been done in the NHL yet . Flip Michigan behind the net assist to yourself for a mid-air deflection in . I still don't know how he pulled that one off . He did try a couple more times but I saw it coming lol so got the saves . We were practicing in the morning because he had an afternoon playoff game ( guess who got the GWG ) .

👏👏🥳🥳 Excellent game for both teams, just a tiny bit better for the Leafs. If this is considered an indication of how good the playoffs are going to be I’m 1000% in. Plus Toronto looks like they have a goaltender who can stop whoever he needs to, they could have what it takes to go the distance with him and their offense being top notch.

They changed the rules a while back. If you remove your helmet prior to a fight, you get an additional penalty. "No player may remove his helmet prior to engaging in a fight. If he should do so, he shall be assessed a two minute minor penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. Helmets that come off in the course of and resulting from the altercation will not result in a penalty to either player."

Leafs, blew the game by one simple decision when their goalie is pulled. Coaches speak about this frequently; if you can’t cleanly clear the puck down in to the net, then cross the red line and dump it. Don’t ice it.
