The big joke of this game is Dallas' goal in overtime. Vegaz's goalie remains glued to his knees on the ice uselessly and the Dallas player just has to shoot the puck over the incompetent goalie. If in the old time ( not so long go) if there were goalies like those clowns today there wouldn't have been no Glenn Hall, no T. Sawchuk, no Jacques Plante, no K. Dryden and many others and the Montreal CH would never have won Stainless Cups by the ton in the 50s, 60s and 70s. Todays' buffoons , they are robots, exactly all the same, a carbon copy. A laughing stuck because those fearful crawling gnomes are over-equipped and they can't move anymore, the only thing they can do is crawl for 60 minutes. The only thing they have learned and the only thing they know. A good example is the shameful overtime goal by the Stars.

It's Hard to see a guy play like Thompson did and not get the win, heroic performance.

The commentators did call it though. Thompson was low and down early on most shots. Dallass was unable to elevate the puck, but as soon as they remembered to, goal in OT.

@@johanjotun1647 well of course they were taking a lot of shots that they were not elevating so yeah being down low but it's not a good idea as a goaltender to be down low and early and it just takes the team realizing in terms of shot selection to go High when they see that as that goalies have it

This game shouldn’t have even gone to OT. Only reason the game wasn’t over after 2 periods was Logan Thompson. Four breakaways alone in period 2 and several odd man rushes. It’s a series now. I expect Vegas to be better in game 4. GKG

Big goalies that fill the net are getting to be annoying, tbh. If we had goaltending the way it should be (normal equipment of the 1980 vintage) we'd have much better hockey with a lot more scoring. Also getting sick of the shot-blocking... this one is really scary because you can imagine the equipment changes that shot-blocking specialists will get -- basically an extra 2 or 3 goalies. Baseball is finally modernizing, I wish hockey would do something as radical, but reach backwards in time: wooden sticks and normal goalie equipment. And no cap, that has to go.

Yes it's kind of a mixed bag. I'm not a fan of either team. So I wanted more hockey and not a sweep. Everyone sick of Vegas their salary cap tricks. But at the same time I'm a fan of another team in the western conference. I don't know if I want Dallas winning this lol. But the longer it goes the better

My god Logan Thompson. Enough said there. Stars gotta do a better job of elevating the puck and will need more out of Oettinger to take the series as it still feels like it is Vegas' to lose with the momentum they have and the performances they are getting out of some players at key moments, and another mention to Logan Thompson just for good measure. Seguin looked good for the Stars tonight, Johnny boy and Stanky are rocking it for Dallas, Johnston's finish in OT was pretty incredible.

This Dallas franchise truly is Americas Team this round, Go Stars!

Thompsson was phenomenal and kept Vegas in this until the bitter end (if you're a Vegas fan).

You have to give Vegas credit, completely out played, but they do manage to capitalize on their chances. When you make a mistake they'll bury it, and in the mean time Thompson can bail them out of most of their mistakes, and keep the games in reach. Dallas was definitely the better team start to finish. Score is flattering to Vegas.

And that will HAVE to be Dallas's takeaway from last night. "You guys almost got beat with double the shots and while dominating a great portion of this game. When you get chances, you can't laser it into the glass and you can't miss the opportunity. If you get a good chance... it MUST GO IN"!!! The Stars need to go into Game 4 keeping Vegas at bay and Capitalizing on their shots, quality chances MUST GO IN. Good job guys. GO STARS!!

Damn I hate Vegas. No way they deserve to be leading this series. This game should have been a blowout for Stars if it wasn't for their goalie. Wyatt Johnson by himself could have easily had 4 goals. He ended up with 2 including the winner.

I hope you are right. Otherwise, every team in the league is going to start fiddling the Injured Reserve gimmick. Will mean 5 players or even more not playing the last quarter of the season, resting up for the playoffs. What a joke. We'll all have to pay extra to see the "injured" players playing in practice.

Yet the Rock Bottom in front of the net, the tripping of Mark Stone in front of the f'n official, all the dozens of cases of hooking all night long ... those weren't penalties. You're a biased POS. Worst game I have ever seen Vegas play, unless Dallas made them look bad, but I have an all new RESPECT for Logan Thompson. What a goaltending effort. The Knights have a wealth of big goaltenders. They had no business being in this game at all, it will be interesting to see if Dallas can come out with the same energy next game.

That game winning goal was crazy. Johnston shot the puck from an angle of about 15 degrees with the goal line. From there it's not easy to put the puck into a wide open net. From the first replay shown here, it looks like the puck went under Thompson's right arm. But the second replay shows that Thompson left a lot of space above his head and shoulders and that's where the puck went....

Thank god dallas won that game. They really deserved to win that game. Thompson is an iron wall

Dallas seemed to have great amounts of 2 on 1s where the first player just shot instead of passing the puck. The only time that worked was the OT goal.

I've been talking about this kid from the begining of his NHL career, this is huge, Vegas is still the king as far as the cup is concerned, if Dallas can comeback and take this series it'll be that goal that enables the comeback, but they have a big challenge ahead.

Oettinger will get a pass bc his stats look good but the reality is that he allowed 2 goals on roughly 1.5 expected goals per Moneypuck and NaturalStatTrick. Meanwhile Vegas’ NHL 24 autogenerated goalie allowed only 3 goals on 5.5 expected goals. Second postseason in a row that Vegas has a fake autogenerated goalie from franchise mode stealing games for them. As a Blues fan I’m morally obligated to root against Vegas for this reason even though i can’t stand Dallas. Just morally and conceptually ridiculous that Vegas is getting this lucky

Unfortunately, the league can't prove that since they rely on team doctors to assess players. Normally, I would give the benefit of the doubt to the team, but you know what they say, "once is chance, twice is coincidence, three times is a pattern." So, are they doing something illegal? Most likely, but it doesn't matter since nobody outside of the Vegas locker room can prove it.

People are always on vegas' skin because they're the most recent team to do something like this and they're butthurt because their team doesn't do the same. It's not cheating if it's legal
