@@mega13man1 Yup. But his antics weren't displayed to many. 17-18 season dude had 93 svs% (44gp) in an absolute ECHL-level Coyotes team. Unfortunately he's been plagued with a myriad of injuries, consequently causing obstruction and challenges to be a stable starter.

It was all rangers here, with an outstanding powerplay and a great pass to the second goal;) canes could have aswell just sat on the benches and waited, without tge extra skaters on ice, to mess with their skilfull game plan, rangers could have made it 0-4;)

Impressive short-handed goal from Brendan Smith. Home ice has been good for Carolina so far this postseason.

From what I understand CAR and NY were the top two NHL teams for lowest GA. Might be like this the whole series.

Man I always forget he’s still in the NHL. His last playoff goal was 9 years ago with the wings lol crazy

Wow the canes got a lot of heat for their goalie moves in the off season but they look genius right now

the Canes proved they are a bad matchup for the Rangers here. PK is strong so the penalties dont matter, their defense was in control most of the match and Raanta stopped everything they didn't last time though the Canes being Away was a whole different game, will be interesting to see if they keep it together for the New York games

Deangelo gotta get him the puck on that 5 on 3, shouldnt be out there if the best option he saw was shooting it right into the goalies glove, shouldve been 2-0 carolina right there.

It was a defensive slog with not a lot of shots and whole lot of turnovers. SPORTSNET only really shows scoring chances and there was not a lot of that in the 3rd period.

When nothing much really happens in a game they usually focus on 1st period plays to get a long enough video.

you know how in dragon ball how they wear weighted clothing to train and make themselves stronger? it's like that but the Canes got addicted to the weighted clothing non-meme answer though teams are more likely to overcommit when they have a numbers advantage, combine that with very smart and physically strong team, you got a good recipe for aggressive PKs

I guess the lesson here, don't get powerplay against canes;)

This is what happens when you don’t take your chances, we’ve squandered so many of these two games and if we’d have taken them we’d been sitting here with those 2 games on our side. That 4 minute Ranger's "power play" was one of the most embarrassing things I've seen in the playoffs in a long time. This team has a lot of talent but so little drive.

Carolina has won in MSG before. IIRC it happened to be a game where the division was on the line too, so it was a pretty high pressure game for both teams. Though I will agree that Tampa will be the Canes kryptonite if the Canes take this series. Only solace would be that Canes would have home ice for that series too which they wouldn't have if they play the Panthers.

Cannot give 2-1 - breaks on PP all the time. Carolina scored their shortie on a third attempt, previous one by Teräväinen hit the goal post. That is as sloppy power play as there ever was. But good SH play by Canes..

Canes have played best on the short hand for some reason. Can't put in a goal to save our lives on the advantage but put the game at full strength or shorthand em they'll finally score.

Can't decide if Ray Ferraro or Chris Collinsworth is more annoying to listen too

Canes put on a defensive clinic tonight. Rangers looked confused and lost. Rangers have no center that can dominate face-offs which was a real problem tonight. Playing 4th liners constantly or goon hockey isn’t going to solve the Rangers problems which was clarified all season. FaceOffs. They do not have a legitimate center or centers that can win faceoffs. Asking Ryan Reaves to take a draw in the offense zone was a joke on display. All Gallant likes is tough guys and goons. He was lucky with Vegas but this kind or brand of Hockey doesn’t work. The Rangers getting Ryan Reaves and all these tough 4th liners was not the problem- Center ice was . Getting a number one center who can dominate and win faceoffs. Ryan Reaves-He’s a goon. I do not like how Gallant is coaching this team. Panarin is a no show in the playoffs despite game 7 against Pittsburgh. Mika is awful on faceoffs and is out muscled. Canes are dominant in the faceoff department. Look at Stats they don’t lie. Canes are boggling up the neutral zone having a defense man present back to protect the Rannta, their goalie. All the Rangers do is cycle. They looked out played and lost out there. Not a good sight.

While I agree with a lot of what you wrote in that post for a team with as many big boys as the Rangers they aren't hitting very much at all.

Запомни, стопроцентный голевой шанс - это лишь с сантиметра в пустые ворота, но чтобы 4 на 3 считать стопроцентным голевым шансом - нужно быть дилетантом в хоккее.
