In playoff hockey, a team will only go as far as its goaltender will take them. The team who has the goalie with the hot hand is usually the team to beat. The Igor we expected to see in net was exactly what we got in this series. I don't think I have seen him as relaxed in any game as he was in game 7 tonight. Calm, cool and collected. Never got rattled. I like our chances against Tampa. LGR!!!

Shesty was great, but the Canes have been doing this for a lot of goalies this year. They constantly need 20-30 shots to get one in.

I said before game started Canes continue taking STUPID penalties would be their downfall and it was. They just were a team that did/could not learn. I see them not getting past 2nd round for the continuing future. They just don't have it in them. Maybe next year Rod will sit the players on the bench for most of the game if they take stupid penalties. Maybe then they will get the message. Tampa will probably lose 1st game because they will be rusty.

Trouba's hit on Jarvis knocking him out the game was the play of the game. There must have been 12 people on the Carolina bench that were focused on Jarvis after he finally crawled his way back to the bench and collapsed on the floor. The concern that play and its aftermath sent throughout the Carolina lineup was impactful.

Carolina didnt play super inspired hockey. their special teams looked flat, and they couldn't get flow in the offensive zone when needed. Sure, they out shot the rangers, but the Rangers scoring opportunities in this and other games were superior imo. Still a young team so plenty of time to build off this season and improve.

Thanks, and honestly I thought we could handle Boston (not easy as they have a few fearsome game-changer individuals which the Canes lack) but was happy we got the Canes cuz I thought they were way overrated. I think our Rangers even overrated them as well. The Rangers have some awesome talent spread out all over the place with that third line of kids just getting their mojo.

To be honest, we have four very exciting team here. They have great offense, the goalies should make the difference. I think NY or Tampa will win the final because of that. For Oilers/Avs, I really don't know what gonna happen. If Smith is good, Oilers have their chances, but if he s sloppy, they won't make it, because nobody provide offense for Edmonton except for McDavid, Draisaitl, Kane ans Hyman.

I was really hoping for oilers vs canes in the final rematch of the 2006 playoffs .. but Oh well lol

With the Rangers winning game 7, it would ensure teams from Tampa and New York would face off against each other in the conference finals for the third consecutive season.

People forget the rangers were basically a .500 team the past 5-6 years. If you told me before the start of the season that the rangers would be in a position to win the metro or make the cup, I would’ve bet a lot of money against you lol Being one of the youngest teams in the league (I think we avg being 26-27 years old), we exceeded all expectations. Gallant and Drury deserve a lot of credit for what they’ve done with the coaching, development and off-season/deadline moves. The vatrano and Copp deals look to be the smartest of the deadline and who the hell would’ve thought that lol the team will need to tighten up against Tampa. Our game plan relies so much on Shesty, I’m praying our defense can make it easier for him but we HAVE to win face offs. We are one of the worst in the league lol the difference maker this upcoming series will 100% be special teams. PP needs to stay hot and our key PK guys need to stay healthy. Best of luck to the remaining teams but with that being said, Let’s Go Rangers!

Лундквист безусловно легенда Рейнджерс, но все его достижения преимущество на уровне сборной и в шведском чемпионате. Свои единственный Везина Трофи он получил на седьмой год. Шестёркин на второй уже в номинации, главное, чтобы его не прокатили как Василевского в прошлом году.

Rangers star players showed up in game 7. Canes star players? Nope. What's bad is that they didn't show up last year against Tampa either. Time for some changes.

I had forgotten how much the Rangers outplayed Carolina. Staal absolutely shut down the Panarin line but there was just too much firepower. This year the Rangers are better but Carolina got Guentzel, a Ranger killer. He was a thorn in our side in the previous series. This year though we got the best version of Trochek so we'll see. Either way Florida is loving it. One of the two teams they'll face for the chance at a SC are going to wear themselves out.

Урок дала этой гниде диАнжело, устроил скандал будучи копом, не нравился видите ли ему Саша Георгиев, поднял в команде скандал , выпинали его в каролину, вот теперь и увидел что значит поддержка и единый дух в команде.

Рад за Рейнджерс - классная команда и по сезону и по плову! Яйца им Галлан приделал железные, маэстро!

As a die hard Colorado Avalanche fan, New York deserved to win this series.

Never expected the season the Rangers had, nor did I see them getting this far in the playoffs. At this point they're playing with house money. Stay loose, have fun and stay healthy. Anything can happen in the ECF. #LGR

Carolina just ran out of goalies. Where's David Ayers when you need him?

I said recently that the New York Rangers would never win a series against Carolina, and you don't know how glad I am that I was wrong!!! I'm happy!!!

Worked at syncing Rangers radio broadcast with Sam Rosen. ESPN game coverage is lackluster at best.

Thanks to the Rangers for disposing off the Candy Canes.. if they had some how survived this game they would have been the first team to host the Eastern conference finals after losing all 6 previous road games.. what kind of an ugly record is that ? Has the Eastern conference host ever had such a record on the road ? The Bolts are still favored but at least the Rangers will give them a serious fight. Hoping that the Bolts are challenged in every shift

Not going to happen, Bolts in 4, Tampa owns the whole league! No one will ever stop us! We will have the cup for life.

I was sure that it would be impossible to repeat the double comeback on the score of 1:3 in the series, but, wow, they did it! 💥🔥🤩They need more concentration to avoid repeating mistakes.

They've beat 2 teams without starting goalies and they struggled to do even that. I wouldn't say there is much to be impressed about.

@@user-kr7fu9by1v соглашусь, но опять же, вратарь тоже не последний хрен в команде, вспомним игру Тампы с Котами, когда Вася был как стена, и у Шестеркина были подобные матчи. Полицаи показывают рвение к кубку, в последний момент переворачивая игру в свою сторону, а у Тампы есть намерение 3й раз чашку забрать, но опять же, это не короткий сезон (как предыдущие два) именно поэтому игра будет очень интересной, волнительной, напряжённой и не простой :) как мне кажется

Looking back this game was closer than the score would indicate. They had many opportunities to score at least 5.

It’s pretty annoying to see them get this far. Their rebuild went ridiculously well.

You hate to see a game 7 be so lopsided but man oh man did the Rangers ever want this one bad and it was clear from the moment the puck dropped. Congrats to both team on a great series.

Carolina's inability to win one single road game in the playoffs was their biggest Achilles

Great job, Rangers!

This is why I prefer watching the NHL. It's unpredictable, congrats Rangers Fans.

Congrats to the Rangers for winning game 7 in a series where they were the underdogs. Carolina have got to sort out the goaltender situation. No doubt this would have been a disappointing result for them.

How do you sort out their number 1 goalie from an injury? Raanta did a stand-up job. He's always been a premiere back-up. He was awesome when he was with our Rangers. No team can can have two world-class goalies. The moment the number two guy rises he's gone the next year as he becomes unaffordable.
