to challenge yourself you should try a franchise mode so you have to be 10-15 mil under the max cap so its more realistic i sometimes do it and then i don't have 90 ovr on my 3rd line :)

Trade for Logan Cooley since he played at Minnesota and that also fits that you're wanting to do a rebuild. It's not realistic that Arizona would trade him but it'd be fun!

As a Wild fan, this is the most unintentionally Minnesota Wild franchise ever! Saying "we're going to rebuild" while signing vets like Kessel, Stamkos, and Wheeler is definitely something we'd do to help guarantee staying middle of the pack.

For teams where they intention is a rebuild, I think a 10 year series would be nice, try to get 2-3 cups type thing. Excited for this one

I'm so happy you're doing a Wild franchise mode. I was actually doing one not too long ago too. Sadly I think Kaprizov is a little underrated in this roster, he's been killing it this year even with the slow start. But excited to see what you have planned!

Did Vasy not add in Ryan Hartmans extension? 3 years 4 million. You retained 50% when trading him but don't have any retained salary in the off season

Retains only on the current deal, so when the off-season starts and the new contract kicks in, it's a fresh deal that didn't have the retention on it.

Idk if you’re going to do another after this, but it would be cool if you did a Draft to Glory challenge for the final series in NHL24. Create a 55OVR team, add them into a custom league & then try and win a cup with ONLY players drafted by your team. No FA, no players on your team that weren’t drafted by you (unless you have to, use lowest rated players in FA). Look up StickOnTheIce’s video as a reference! I did one myself after seeing his, and it’s a LOT of fun!

i use vasy rosters too and lekkeramaki develops very well for me. becoming a 90 ovr. great trade ❤

He uses the same players in every franchise mode. Go watch mine, there better(I have 1 full series and that's the Minnesota Wild rebuild, it's 2000% better)

If you are doing too well always fire the coach mid season and make the goalie coach (or lowest coach) interm coach.

I think it could be interesting if you restrict yourself to: if a pending UFA is not interested in a contract extension with your organization, then you can’t resign them in season. You have to wait until July 1 free agency to offer a new contract

You should try and avoid trading players with nmc because the wild have a bunch of them and it would be really hard to rebuild

Lol average NHL player exits* Tactix: Hes just a dude I met Marc Methot at my local gym a while ago (see him pretty consistently in the mornings), and can confirm even the meh players arent just dudes lol. I second this! From having the largest point improvement last season to most likely not making the playoffs. They deserve a worthy rebuild!
