Can’t go undrafted but apparently you can get sent to the minors, you could in 23 and 22 apparently if you’re a goalie and you play terrible. Has to be during the preseason I’m pretty sure.

To score goals on your own goalie try to do the Michigan on your goalie and it’ll actually work and you’ll get an own goal

As usual, EA doesn't give a shit about single player modes, this hasn't been touched since 2021. Meanwhile all the developers are working on stupid HUT packs

I had that bug playing eashl. So frustrating, when both just kept hitting eachother and neither one dropped 😅

I remember not too long ago, you could play in the AHL or ECHL for years after being drafted. You could also start in the CHL or Champions League when you were 15. They just got rid of everything now

It was just the CHL, when they added champions league that’s when it went downhill

The game is programmed to draft you no matter what. Even if you immediately get into a fight in the Champions Hockey League and get kicked out of both games, you're defaulted to get drafted by Anaheim. Still can't believe they didn't patch in the A/ECHL system, at least that would add extra depth

That's a good idea with the CHL and funny it doesn't matter. Would be cool if you could go undrafted then get signed to a random AHL team

Honestky i miss the early 2010s be a pro...could choose to play a full year in junior and i remember most times not making the opening night roster and having to grind in the A for a bit to get a shot and even then i got sent back down sometimes

I wish EA had difficulty levels for getting into the NHL. And you could start at varying overalls

Back in the day ea made a nhl gane for the wii that let's you start in peewee as a kid all the way up trew to middle school and high school and college and the nhl. Sadly I doubt they will add that anymore when you age you're character would naturally devople over time depending on the play style and archetype.

I’d retry this but with a goalie and just skate out of the net every time since goalies have less value

I think if anything this video just highlights how bad be a pro actually is and how rigged EA has this mode. Ive skipped 24 and unless i see real changes ill skip 25.

@owenposer6720 I Orginally thought I was gonna do the same but considering that be a pro has literally been the exact same for 4 years it's nothing that could even justify the purchase on black Friday or at all from this point. I can't keep supporting there monopoly when they clearly don't care about there product and it shows....so it looks like at this point I'll be upgrading about every 2-3 years depending on the changes made each year and I'll just get my 10 hour EA Play trial each year play it everytime I need a fix n once itz gone its gone but I'm done wasting money

I tried this last year and ended up 5th round… oilers. Then boom first line with McDavid and Draitsitl

I’d love to see career mode incorporate more of the Minor league like in The Show, maybe you can choose to start undrafted in the ECHL or something and work ya way to the AHL and eventually the NHL. Also would be cool to be represent your country in career mode even if it’s just fake tournaments

You still can’t go undrafted but you can get picked later by getting benched every game (easiest method is by just taking 5 penalties per game) and doing persuasion answers in the draft interview

I’d love them to bring back being able to spend a year or even two in the chl. I’m playing nhl 20 and I love being a 16 year old and having to play two years in the chl to get drafted.

If you don't get drafted in the first round it's really hard to get ice time also.. had whole periods simmed. Wish they would send you down if your overall isn't top 9 ready.

If you choose a grinder or an enforcer you get drafted later, I've been drafted 2nd round while being awesome just because I was a grinder

I don't know if the GMs have a union. So for them to be in the game, EA would have to make a deal with each individual GM. Same reason coaches aren't in.

If you want to try not to get drafted in be a pro you got to stay behind the oppositions blue line every shift so you’ll be offside and constantly trip, slash, and every other penalty possible. Don’t know if you can’t get drafted or not but that’d be your best shot

Honestly these youtubers don't care bro they expose these games in there little ways like how he did in this video but none of them are gonna say it in EA's faces especially youtubers like no sleeves n nasher aren't gonna say anything because all they care about is getting paid

I'm 0:45 into this video and can already tell you've thought more about GM decision making then the entirety of EA. They DO NOT care about hometown location/size weight etc... But alas, I'll finish the video and see and report back.

Watching this video makes me glad I haven’t tried playing Be A Pro in NHL 24, the game mode still looks pretty brutal😬

I've been playing loads of Legacy recently (only NHL I've ever played because I've never owned a console and Legacy is easy to emulate to PC) and Be A Pro is so much better there than here. A lot of new features look cool like mid game conversations with the coach and some after game stuff but the actual simulation of the leagues looks waaaay worse. I started my Be A Pro career in Legacy in the OHL at 16 and if you don't perform you'll spend years in the AHL. Not sure if you can go undrafted because annoyingly in Legacy your starting stats are locked at a low-mid AHL level. It's annoying because Be A Pro in Legacy was criticized for its lack of depth at the time and admittedly its very bare bones but this gamemode has so much potential and it looks like EA just squandered it.
