You could do just eastern conference and just western conference. If a player use to play in the opposite conference then draft them (similar to this video) or just leave it at players from the conference only

it would but salary cap would be such a big problem to the point where you would have to have lower overall players on your team an lose bigger players to FA an other teams wouldn’t be able to sign them like bc of big contracts

Love this idea! So interesting how the computer drafts with 6 teams

I have honestly never seen a +5 chemistry for every single line let alone all of the special team lines too. Unreal!!

If you ever run out of ideas or maybe closer to the end of the game cycle, Id love to see the Cup or Bust series return! Could be a cool way to rebuild all the teams you didnt get to rebuild during the regular Franchise Mode series!

Leafs blow a 2-0 lead in game seven? The game knew the assignment

I did this exact thing a couple weeks ago and ran through a full 10 year franchise. Its interesting because it kind of screws up the drafts because some of the players in the second round dont get drafted, so they are still available in future drafts and actually end up going in the first round of the next draft. Usually only happens with the real players, not the generated ones. It also ended up that the same three teams won all of the cups in the ten years. Sidenote: also is a great way to get the Jack Adams if you still need the achievement, because it's basically a 1/6 chance every year!
