You can tell pretty clearly he is very anxious as he SCRUBS tears off his face knowing he's being filmed from every angle, visibly fidgeting with the mic at the end of the clip

This shows how much his music really means to him. I think there are plenty of artists that write emotional songs, but probably get to the point of playing or performing them so much that they eventually become numb to it, but if you put enough emotion into it, you’ll keep those feelings for a long time.
