Meanwhile greenbay fans are putting their season tickets in their will to the children sense the waitlist is like 50 years for some people. All that so they sit a watch Aaron roger choke in the post season in the middle of a blizzard. A team so invested, they are the only publicly own team in pro football. Their fans literally own stocks in their team. And it’s not cheap. Some 300 bucks for one single share. But what do I know. Tennessee has a boat parade every game day on the river. Not hating on the vols. I cried a few tears of joy to see a team so deserving to win in this fashion. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Decades of stress, and pent up feelings, all let off in one moment. And to top off with mocking bama with this song which was always about Tennessee in the first place was the icing on the cake. But there’s not a fan base that can top to over the top loyalty of greenbay fans.

You're right- One has to wonder what Alabama fans will think about this song from now on. I think at the end of the year this may very well go down as the most memorable moment of the year in college football. @@chrispredsfan bruh Boudleaux Bryant was born in Georgia and Matilda Scaduto (later changed to Felice Bryant) was born in Wisconsin. They first wrote Rockytop in 1967 and the Osborne brothers sang in later that same year. As for Dr. Julian, that's probably referencing the band arrangement which wasn't even Rockytop. It was an excerpt from a halftime show which had a medley called "Columbus Stockade blues" which was first performed in 1972. BUT even that piece was arranged by Barry McDonald (a Nashville native) and Preston Turner who I actually can't find anything on but maybe he was from Bama, regardless.... the song was not written in any regards to Bama, now there's no way I'm digging deep enough to counter your "where were they when they wrote it claim" but it doesn't matter because your initial comment says that they were from Alabama, which they were not

This isn’t meant to start an argument. I’m not sure that loyalty and passion are by my fan experiences the same. I’ve only been a Packers fan since the 90’s, Vol fan since the early 80’s. You're right- One has to wonder what Alabama fans will think about this song from now on. This moment has become so legendary in just a few short days, that one has to wonder if it's now essentially Tennessee's song. Will Alabama fans even want to sing it at their next home game? I think at the end of the year this may very well go down as the most memorable moment of the year in college football. And in 10 years it will still probably be remembered as one of the most memorable in recent decades.

I think most of Bama fans have forgotten what disappointment feels like and therefore what that excitement feels like when you beat a challenging opponent (a testament to what Saban has built for sure). Because they rarely get challenged, y’all just expect to win. With that in mind, I hope the “3rd Saturday in October” (at the least) remains a ball game of rivals battling to the last second. One-sided dominance takes away from the excitement of college football (and sports in general).

So we’re they born there no did they live there yes.
