Next Hot Collectible! Pyrex, Candlewick Glass, Waterford Crystal, Limoges - Thrift with Me Dr. Lori

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Watch expert Dr. Lori go #shopping at the Goodwill thrift #shop in Glastonbury, Connecticut as she uncovers a Pyrex bowl, Candlewick #glass and the next hot collectible. See the Colonial American revival platter that is unmarked and under the radar now at low prices, but is expected to spike in value in just a few years. Don't miss it!
Dr. Lori points out the pieces you should leave behind and shows you why. She also values a bunch of metallic trays and bowls. Some trays are from the 1950s. As she looks for treasure, see the new inventory placed on the shelves as she is in the store shopping including Theodore Haviland Limoges plates, Waterford crystal and a clearly marked porcelain bowl worth thirty times its sticker price.

Dr Lori, I appreciate you SOOOO much! I just want to thank you for your knowledge and your willingness to share it ❣️ I don’t resell, but I still appreciate and buy the valuable pieces that you guide me to. I’m thinking that I should explore the possibilities of reselling, as a senior? Just turned 73😱😃. It sure would help ! 😊 You are a HOOT❣️ you’re the kind of person that I would like to have as a friend! Thanks for everything that you share 💖.

I agree with you on the colonial plates , the Candlewick is nice. My mother had that! Pyrex is useful no matter the color! Waterford at that price is a steal! The Limoges is exactly like my Grandmother's, which I now have ❤. I would never sell it!

Went to goodwill a few days ago, thought i found more limoge but it was a fake limoge made in China (looked up the makers mark) also found golden blossom candlesticks (in good condition, still has all the gold gilding) bad news the 3rd was made in a tacky light fixture so i didn't buy it. Came back later and found 2 pieces of austria hasburg porcelain, not chipped. There is some gilding and not all but it looked like the pieces had been sitting in a box forgotten since they were covered in dirt. No idea the pattern or worth but i snagged/ rescued them

1p Dr.Lori..thanks so much for sharing your wealth of info with us. I thought I understood why you wear cloth white gloves when you show items. It seems I recall that the natural oil on our hands can accumulate and eventually damage fabrics and designs on breakable items. When you are shopping at thrift stores are you wearing gloves for your protection? I often think about how many hands have touched stuff I pick up. So my question is should we wear gloves when looking in thrift stores too? Is it a good idea to develop the habit out of respect? Thanks and consider coming to Georgia!
