Benjamin, how many things do you not care about them existing but with this you do? Have you been concerned with coloniasm? Letters to Whitechapel? Why is this the one where it's a moral compass?

@@BoardGameCo Because promiscuity is a sin before God. I didn’t decide that, it’s in the Bible. Also, what is so horrible about colonialism? The Native American culture before the white man arrived consisted of small tribes at constant war with one another, where the victors would either slaughter everyone, or take them as slaves. The Aztecs partook in ritual human sacrifice slaughtering hundreds of people captured through warfare. There numbers were so few, and their culture so divided and intensely racist against each other, that they were literally killing each other to the point that they were below replacement level. The white man arrives in this land and this is what he sees happening. I can understand some cases against colonialism in certain situations, but as a general concept? No.

I'm glad you mentioned Nightshift again (and I'd be fascinated in the follow-up video), the game is too expensive for what it is but the outrage around it is something else!

From photos I was only interested in Ichor, but after seeing playthroughs of both, I'm going to get Iliad.

Alex, I see you are dialing in the new set. Lighting is much better. I like the original table with the light blue table top. It really helps brighten the space. Better choice of background and game selection.

Alex, I appreciate you thinking about playing 4 games for CMon and what people might say or accuse you of; but please don’t let them change how you want your channel to show up or what you want to show us of your time. You don’t hide your connection to GameFound and you don’t hide when it’s paid content vs non-paid. That’s all you can do. So give us the content you want to do and we will be here for it, and keep doing what you’re doing.

And what about letters for Whitechapel? Do you have the same sensitivity? Massive darkness with all the angels and demons? I personally have no interest in nightshift...but I at least acknowledge that it's an inconsistent stance.

@@BoardGameCo Yes, actually. All of the dark and evil imagery in Massive Darkness, Cthulhu, and Tainted Grail I find objectionable as well, and I refuse to support those kind of games. In fact the very concept of human-like persons partaking in hand to hand combat with demons is contrary to my beliefs. The battle against the forces of evil is God’s, and His is the final victory. So no, it’s not an inconsistent stance at all. It’s just that all of those games had already been made when I joined the hobby, and, while I never tried to hide how I disagreed with them morally, I also didn’t post something about how each game is morally deficient individually. But I can speak out about why I don’t like this new genre of moral deprivation when I see it being to invade the hobby.

​@@Benjahmin1138You don't have to agree with all themes of games, and that's fine, nobody will ever be happy with every theme presented and therefore just move on. I don't want religion in my games, and if I look into one that's based around such I just say eh not for me and move on with my life. Your moral compass is that of you, not everyone. This stance makes me wanna back the game more just to support the team behind the game

Alex, could you please think about removing one of the Oathsworn boxes? They are, apparently, the only box that is on the set twice. And as they have such a prominent position, just beside your head in the shot, I constantly feel I am being manipulated (mindwashed) by you. Now I don’t think you have a secret deal to make more people buy the game, but it feels really offputting. Love you new studio, apart from the duplicste box. I have, turned off your new videos several times to avoid the uneasy feeling of being manipulated. 😕

I'm sorry but I won't. I will confirm that I'm not getting paid in any way, the tricky part is that where does the line end? I have two cmon games in the background, two awaken realms games, a giant stack of unsettled...you're picking one specific example but anyone could pick any example. I like the synergy, and so for now it stays. If your viewpoint was shared by a bunch of others I would absolutely reconsider, but I wouldn't change it based on one voice because it's too easy for anyone to have something they dont like. I do appreciate the feedback and respectful way of asking.

@@BoardGameCo I was also wondering why you have two boxes of Oathsworn and why you don't keep them next to each other (or do you mean "symmetry" rather than "synergy"?), but I was just curious and not bothered.
