Once again, it's good that Chase and Discover don't have overlapping categories for the next quarter. I have both cards and it is annoying when the categories overlap. They've been pretty good this year, so far because there has been no overlap, as opposed to last year when there was overlap. Gas stations is a good category to have in the second and third quarters when a lot of people do their traveling.

I read on Doctor of Credit that Chase has a pop up now that tells you if you don't qualify for a bonus when applying for their cards.

I ride an E-bike everywhere and watch movies at home so this will be my non-wallet card for a few months

I changed to the flex from the unlimited. For Costco I can use the Amazon prime Chase card if I ever get a membership since it’s a visa until I’m out of 524 jail and I’ll reapply for the unlimited. I have all the discovery cashback.

Chase would be great cards if only they would get rid of the 5/24 rule. Otherwise, there are other cards out there with the same rotating categories or better 🤷🏼‍♀️

That’s the reason why I can’t complete the trifecta because I have over five cards in 24 months and it would be nice if they get rid of that rule and they would have a lot more sign-ups. I think the rule is so stupid. Chase is only hurting themselves.

Find the nearest Speedway gas station, they usually have good gift cards for Texas Roadhouse, Home Depot, UBER, etc. to get to $1,500 max; that's 9x when you stack the bonus!

Irritating that my "live entertainment" spending will mostly be overseas and subject to ftx fee, but even after the fee it's probably still the best rewards return I will get for that category unless I get some targeted offers.

@@ricardocorte8055 I rarely travel internationally or do things that fall under "live entertainment" and I have the other categories covered better with my existing cards. It was never a priority grab for me. I don't think Capital One likes to approve deadbeats, they're more focused on the subprime space, so it wasn't worth the hard pull to apply.

I'm sure these categories are exciting to others. My EV is super slow on charging so unless I go to someplace like a mall and walk around for hours it's not useful. Live entertainment? I haven't been to a concert in a very long time. Movies? Yea, I can do that. But I doubt I'll spend that much there. And gas is something I buy every now and then unless I'm going on a road trip. So, I guess that's possible this summer. I wonder if I can buy gift cards at the gas station and have that work... hmm.

Tried with many and they only allow cash purchases for gift cards. Bought 1 online from shell and it didn’t code as gas:(
