I've been working on rebuilding my credit the last few years, and up until now, i was only offered subprime cards. I have Capital One platinum and Quicksilver cards, but they are low bucket cards. Thankfully, I just recently got the Citi Double Cash card, and this is now my go-to card. Next, I'll try and get the Custom Cash! 😊

I don't understand why more credit card channels don't call out the AAA Daily Advantage - sure, there's no "ecosystem" but it's an easy 5% on groceries.

Because 99% of credit card channels are paid ads. Everyone pushes chase, citi, amex or capitol1. Same cards all the time. Will constantly promote a setup with $1500 in annual fees. All the comments are bots too.

Citi Custom Cash is a really good card…very unique. I wish they would tweak the restaurant category to include food delivery.

I have 2 custom cash cards and use them both for restaurants. My wife uses one; I use the other. Otherwise, I have a similar setup (with a couple us bank cash plus cards for bills)

Once I complete the Chase trifecta and get the bonus on the Sapphire Preferred, I’m primarily sticking with the Capital One duo. Too many cards to cycle through becomes such a hassle. I want simplicity.

I really like being on a spend bonus, gas, grocery, bubble gum, it all goes on the new card!

Well I have to agree with you on the Citi Custom Cash Card for restaurant purchases but like you stated $500 is easy to spend so I would use my Capital One Savor Card as Backup. But having the revolving cards such as the Freedom Flex and Discover it work well for cash back. My question to you is what do you do with your Cash Back rewards? I like to get the cash and put them into my brokerage account so I can make that money grow for the future!

US Bank Business Connect 75k points for 6k spend in 180 days is my current card I'm working on. I know you have trouble getting US Bank cards but I'm up to 3 now. I'll probably get the bank of America business card and wells Fargo business one early next year to overpay my taxes for 2 bonuses maybe also a hotel card. All I do lately is big bonuses as I've pretty much maximized my categories.

A strong cash-back set-up, but that's no surprise. There's always another card, isn't there?

US Bank cash plus Visa is a good 5% cash back for utiliies and cell phone or sporting goods.

I don't have the Freedom Flex, but will see if Chase will let me product change to it again even if I have to wait a year or more. I have the Discover It Cash Back. I was able to product change my Double Chase to a second Custom Cash. For Groceries, I have the Amex Gold and BCP. I want to get the AAA and regular Autograph cards. For Amazon, I have the Chase and Amex business one. I do have the Apple card for Apple pay. I had the regular Amex EveryDay, but canceled after 23 months for the no fee Hilton. I gain no foreign fees and more categories to use and even if I don't use Hilton, its no annual fee and it doesn't hurt to keep it.

I just received the AAA visa in the mail today so I am very excited about using it

Great review, I used to have the BCP but my grocery spending moved to another card so I downgraded that to the BCE and have that tied to Hulu for the $7 back, I am leaving it open since it is a no annual fee, I don’t have to think about it since it is tied to a reoccurring charge / auto pay and I might want to upgrade it back to the BCP…who knows! The Flex will be in full force in Q3 for gas!

May I ask why you use the citi double cash over the wells fargo active cash?

The Active Cash was a forced change from the old WF Propel Amex card, and I'd already been using Double Cash for a long time and my kids are AUs on the card, so no need to switch. But I'd be just as happy with the Active Cash, I don't see Double Cash as a better card.

nice very similar to my keeper 5% on everything no Annual fee setup US Bank cash+ 5% utilities, streaming, internet AAA 5% grocery citi custom 5% restaurant/fast food discover it 5% rotating, walmart/grocery chase freedom 5% rotating, gas/ev WF 2% boa custom cash 3% online purchase, lol rent works for now

@@amoon107 ya its like 2.5-2.75% thought about moving money into boa money market account to get higher cash back but i dont really trust boa's stability and think some bad times are comming idk its not really worth that much. also i pretty much maxed the card out for the rest of the year and put the rent money into treasuries to take advantage of the intro 0% apr for 18 mo

I keep Amex Platinum for the channel so I am on top of what's happening with it, though I also once a year use its Fine Hotels program for a little splurge in Miami Beach. Venture X I got for bonus and Cap One lounge access, again a card I have more for the YT channel than something I would otherwise choose, though I do think it can be a good card for some people.
