I love seeing how quickly, and subtly Pino checks in with Blake after the interviewer calls back his "whippersnapper" crack from a bit of banter earlier in the video; When the interviewer uses it this time to gently belittle Mills at @14:25 . That's a textbook example of the cultivated sensitivity and attention to emotional tone that I reckon is crucial to really opening to the greater needs of any particular piece of music, ego aside.
I remember Pino catching the train at Cardiff and playing the Stowaway night club in Newport with the Tony Etoria group in South Wales most Saturdays during the early 80’s😎
Interviewer should let them talk.

Interviewer has brought us two musical titans to talk in-depth about their work. I think the questions, even if lengthy, were spot on and he deserves our gratitude.

At 16:00 the interviewer finally listened, and let them talk 😂
Big big Blake Mills fan, so thanks for this. But here's a question for you. Have we EVER seen Blake and Kevin Parker (Tame Impala) in the same place at the same time? Is it possible they are alter egos of the same person?

This interviewer... let me be diplomatic here- he talks too much. I have more critical things I want to say but I don't wanna add more negativity to the internet lol

I agree! He had a lot of points that he wanted to make himself, which is not the place of the interviewer to do, strictly speaking. In his defense, though: I gathered that he is involved in studio recording himself, and if so, then it is admittedly tempting to get caught up in the discussion and weigh in oneself.

Agreed. The best interviewers leave space tons of space for the guests to talk.

Yessss very true. A good interviewer should know that the interview is not about themselves. It’s about the person they are interviewing.
Sorry but the interviewer has completely ruined this...
What a shame. The interviewer was more interested in making his own points instead of listening to two great musicians.
I dislike being negative on the internet but, like others have said, this interviewer should stop answering the questions himself. This was frustrating to watch.
This interviewer needs to actually ask questions instead of talking about themselves.
The interviewer is out of his depth both in subject matter and as an interviewer but doesn't know it.
