He didn't check the weather. He didn't have his radio on. His phone supposedly didn't work. He cut the line. And he didn't even bother to try to retrieve them? This sounds like premeditated murder.

Don’t be ridiculous! With a charge like that he will end up going free. In the real world, PROPER, PROVABLE charges are in order. This is a negligent manslaughter case, and 2 counts of negligence for the surviving boys.

I can't help but wonder that myself, that bye, bye just did not rest well with me. Maybe he had some sick compulsion to cut the line or to kill someone in the past and decided to set up a situation in which he could indulge it and not take a murder charge. At what point is there to much negligence to really be negligence unless he failed a sobriety test or blood work as well.

by saying “they should have known the weather isn’t good” as someone who’s never gone on a boat until recently (too poor to ever do any kinds of activities like this) it’s actually completely understandable when a tourist has no idea how the weather affects these activities it’s understandable that they put their trust into someone who said they knew what they were doing. So y’all are in fact blaming the victim. When it’s the man driving the boat who should be told that he should have known better than to take a family out in these conditions for a couple of bucks. Y’all are disgraceful. This man is a murderer and y’all have your priorities out of line blaming the family. Get a grip.

Had he not cut the line , eventually they would of landed down and easily rescued . But this captain thought he had to cut the line because the 🪂 was some how endangering him , his boat and his crew

That industry is laden with a criminal element looking for them. Looking for a quick buck. And, I’m sorry to say, but after living there for many years - a lot of these ppl catering to tourists in small towns (like the Keyes) are of a criminal element and tourists should beware of locals that are “too friendly”. He took their money even though he probably knew the weather was unsafe. Then he cared more about the boat's well-being than their lives. I'm disgusted to speculate that he probably didn't see them as real human beings to begin with, based on all of his combined actions. Someone else speculated that it could even have been premeditated murder and honestly that doesn't sound too far fetched. I am so angry that this happened when it didn't have to. I'm so sorry for this woman's family and for the many years of life she missed out on.

Going simply off by the common-sense pub test- this was premeditated. I can’t help but wonder if he knew her before his; or if he hit on her & she rebuffed him; or maybe his wife & kids had left him & he took out on this woman all of his rage. It’s equivalent to a taxi driver, driving drunk, removing the airbags prior, and wearing a blindfold, whilst he races through peak hour traffic. Then upon crashing, extricating himself before spilling fuel around the wreck, & then pretending to call 911. I hope attorneys for the family & prosecution can create an analogy. I think because most of us have never steered a boat, or been on a parasail never mind captained each, we really underestimate the intentional in his actions. We naturally assume ignorance & carelessness courtesy of it being a foreign activity/concept to us. But this was absolutely intentional

@@notjulianne87 supposedly he panicked and was afraid the boat would be dragged. Surely that could’ve been navigated until a lull in the winds to pull them safely in. Cutting the line he had to know he was potentially risking 3 lives, two of which were children to potentially save his boat? Or his own. If all had life jackets (as you would assume a reputable business would require) and the worst case the boat flipped they could have waded and waited for help but cutting the line meant probable death for those 3. He was the person in charge? Criminal indeed.
