I was diagnosed with CML this February of 2023. I will start my Tasigna this Wednesday March 8th. I already suffer from fatigue and extremities being sore. Hope that it doesn't get worse and goes away. I had a ton of leg bruising all last year and chalked it up to my physical job. I had signs of this, but didn't realize I was dealing with this until one day after donating blood that my WBC was super high. Then all the dots started to connect when remembering the signs I was going through. Your channel has answered a lot of questions that someone new to this has. My first in person meeting with my Oncologist will be this Friday. Any questions that I should ask, that you wish you knee to ask when you started this journey. I appreciate your videos and info. Thank you both!

Thank you for your comment and sorry to hear about your diagnosis. My fatigue and pain did go away. I found that drinking a lot of water helped with the pain. Good luck with the meeting with the oncologist this week. You ask a great question on what to know in the beginning. I can think of two things right now: 1) What is the best way to communicate with your doctor and medical team if you have questions? and 2) What things do I need to worry about in the beginning and what things are more "normal"? It takes a little bit of time to adapt to the medicine so there are some symptoms and side effects that are normal and others that are not normal. I think it would be good to know this in the beginning so that you know when to worry and when to not worry. Stephen

What do you want to know about bone marrow transplant? For people in chronic phase (which is most of us) it is not a recommended treatment as the risks are very, very high.

Sorry to hear about the challenges with the drugs. How often is he having night sweats? I occasionally would get night sweats when I was on the drug. Have you had any recent blood test to see the results?
