Thank you for posting this video! I have been on treatment for almost a year and just had my first PCR increase and I found out about it on a Saturday morning when my Doctor is closed and have no one to talk to about this increase and my anxiety has been through the roof for 24 hours now and this video just helped me tremendously! Thank you!!

Thank you for your comment! Sorry to hear about the increase in PCR and anxiety it caused. That's definitely something we all don't like to see. I am glad the video helped you out. Even 11 years in to my CML journey, I still sometimes get nervous about PCR tests and over-analyze the results if something moves slightly back up. Hopefully you have been able to talk with your doctor and get their thoughts on the PCR increase. - Stephen

Hie Stephen My name is Maulik and I am from India. First of all I have appreciate your videos for good information shared. I am diagnosed with CML CP in Feb 2024. I have been starting my Imanitib on 29/02/24 and I obtained CBC report perfectly. First time I have done PCR test on 22/03 and obtained 3.368% IS value and again I have done the PCR test 23/05 and obtained the 3.554% IS value. My all reports like CBC, SGPT and Screatine are normal. My HB is 14%, My WBC are 8800, My Platlets are 227000. I am little worried for PCR as it has to increased. This is the information of my treatment. I have completed 3 months of treatment.

Thank you for your comment and sharing your numbers. I would not worry about the PCR going from 3.368 to 3.554. Those numbers are very similar and you will need a few more PCR tests before you can say there is a distinct upward swing.

Been watching your channel for reference and tips for my partner. We just received our 21st month results on treatment, and it’s our first increase. Latest was 0.011 and now it jumped to 0.069, they’re still good numbers but always a worry as you’re expecting a continuation of down trend. But from our small observations - the past three months we were less strict with our exercises and diet. We started to consume small amounts of alcohol a glass of wine or two once in a while. Also since the diagnosis we were consuming 6mg of curcumin c3 complex daily, but it ran out of stock lately and we stopped. So maybe thats a correlation with the increase.

Thank you for your comment and sharing your partner’s story. I have heard that curcumin can be good for CML so it will be interesting to see what would happen if you can get it again. It is definitely stressful to see an increase. When is the next test? Did the doctor express any concerns?
