Please do not come to Canada anymore if you do not have relatives to help you to start a new life in Canada. Stop this kind of whining news. No one forced them to come here and now they starts to whine and complain.

Vancouver and Toronto is not surprising to have those problems. They the highest cost of living here in Canada. I been here in Canada for 44 years and I was surprised how some new comers can bought some beautiful houses for starter. I guess depend on how you manage your income with regards to all your expenses. When we came here be start from the bottom. We didn’t buy a car for 2 years and we didn’t buy the house for 5 years. We rented a house first 5 years and that house don’t even have a washing machine. We have to go to a laundry mart almost every weekend. We rented a second floor just good enough for our family 2 bedroom house old house but very good. Now I noticed most of the new comers they bought a car and a house right away sometimes I wonder how can they afford it and can they still put savings?

do the math first before buying a house. be sure to afford a fixed term rate. with savings in case of emergency. pag di kaya rent muna then invest sa FHSA, target 20% DP when buying a house as much as possible

I'm just glad Canada is the 2nd largest country in the world. At least that lessens the scare when it comes to housing as real estate or government cannot reason out that there is scarcity in space or lands unlike UK, Hong Kong and Singapore. However, Canada is being unique reasoning out the lack of manpower to build houses and the weather (having the big chunk of population only staying in radius close to US border) to spike up houses. Recently been thinking to just move to US. But, the health care system and the childcare benefits and their education are what's stopping me. There is no perfect country indeed. Even Philippines is fun until government comes in the picture add some of the toxicity in our culture and people. We just really have to make the perfect place. It wouldn't be given to us for free.

Ilan yrs kn sa canada? This is my sister in law. This is not a no brainer. Before the pandemic, canada was livable. Yung cost of living was doable. Unlike after ng pandemic, everything went up. BC is one of the most expensive province to live in. Things happen after years. They lived in bc for 13 yrs before they decided to move dahil rates just keep going up. We all lived on bc before we al ended up moving elsewhere. Kmi ng family ko ng move for good sa pinas last yr because health and life balance is a lot better in the pinas.
