Falcons have been absolutely shocking this season. Relegation needs to be reinstated as losing 17/17 is a disgrace

How does relegating Newcastle and promoting Ealing etc. help? The team getting promoted will fare no better than Newcastle, and Newcastle will fare worse for dropping down and losing funding. Not to mention none of the top 5 teams in the Championship have more than half the seating capacity of Kingston Park. We've seen Wasps, London Irish and Worcester collapse in only a few years, let's not send Newcastle the same way please.

@@alexnaismith351 Either promote teams to replace those we've lost over successive seasons until we're back to 12-14 teams (while temporarily keeping ringfencing like we have now), or do the actual hard work required to promote the Championship. A good TV deal would make a huge difference and restructured club funding from the RFU would go a long way as well. France can manage 2 fully professional leagues, and each with more teams than the premiership and better paid players. And I'd argue the product isn't even better, with most games resulting in the away team getting hammered. It doesn't make sense when the RFU is the most profitable union with £120m+ in reserves that some more of that couldn't be put back into growing the game at the lower levels.

I like how Ben Redshaw decked Cokanasiga. Later, Cokanasiga runs through 3 defenders to score including Redshaw lol
