Thank you sooooo much. I’ve introduced a lot of various sports fans to Rugby League because of the NZ vs Tonga game from RLWC2017. I’ve watched hundreds and hundreds of League games in past 7 years and that’s the best ever.

Fantastic crowd and atmosphere. This Tongan crowd love their team and the game. A packed house at Mt. Smart is pretty awesome. If the Aussies are going to have stand alone origin games, it would be great if the kiwis, Tonga, Samoa, and PNG or Fiji play a double header on the the same day. Preferably at Mt smart but suncorp would a great option also. Rugby league, the greatest game of all.

To our Tongan brothers, your 1st Victory over the Kiwis was awesome and I congratulate you on that but it was good to claim victory this time. I understand. you're very proud people and theres nothing wrong with that. But honestly be humble win or lose, the ongoing waving of your national flags in Aotearoa the day after, the week after and a month after is a little too much. What good would come of it and how do you think the rest of Aotearoa is going to react, nothing but negative impact and violence either way. Be mindful and remember, we are multi-cultural and we are Aotearoa together. Many more games will come, don't let it ruin our reputation of who we are . Let's play hard but fair, shake hands and hugs. Prove to the World that we celebrate diversity, equality and most importantly "Peace" and "Love" in our Country. One Love!

@Dawson, Congratulations Kiwis on the win, but we celebrate this game because we haven't had an international game for a long time. Win or lose it doesn't matter to us, we don't let other team's fans tell us how to be supportive. Our boys need to know, the outcome of the game won't make us go into hiding like other fans. We truly appreciate their time & sacrifice, they will see us cheer them on even when they leave the stadium. Let the rest of New Zealand react how they want to react, it's a very diverse nation with people whose ancestors or parents aren't from NZ. Huh? I believe you're lost, I know Tongans aren't ruining any reputation for NZ. I understand there are a few bad apples but that doesn't represent the whole lot. Just because you don't like the beeping or the flags does not mean we hate NZ. There are many Tongans who call themselves Kiwis. So please, lets shake hands and hugs. Hopefully both teams do great at the RLWC this year. One Love!

@Renegade Malo le lei my Tongan brother or sister and Kia Orana from a very proud Kuki Airani, no offense was intended from my comment, I've been here almost my whole life and I've been back to Aitutaki so many times. I've run out of fingers, toes and tear-drops that I've lost count lol Like so many hundreds of thousands even a million or 2 of our Polynesian brothers n sisters, from the Islands all over the Pacfic Ocean like you and I. Whose parents and their families migrated here answering the call for a better life, that was promised to our parents and their families by the NZ Government etc We went to school to get an education as well as learning to say "Hey bro!!" in each other's language. Constantly being reminded that we are a multi-cultural country of many different beliefs, religions, race, colour, age, gender and dreams together. We were all encouraged to be Courteous, Considerate and Co-operative to anyone and everyone. We were strongly encouraged to speak our minds and express our colourful personalities, to stand tall with our heads up charging into the future. As we proudly walk side by side, smiling and laughing celebrating our freedom in front of the whole World. Because together we are all one without prejudice and racism, together we are the people of Aotearoa! I grown up here like most boys, following the All Blacks and naturally I'm a fan of the sport. Although I've never had the privilege to enjoy playing the game as we didn't have the luxury of talented players and well seasoned coaches. Unfortunately I experienced something like just chasing the ball as though it was soccer except the ball, spent more time in the air, the only time anyone was able to touch or hold the ball, was either line-outs or scrums lol If we were on the offensives, I didn't care if I made a late tackle. I had to get a fix for my frustration. Suddenly one day an Angel appeared an knocked on our door asking my mum if I wanted to play Rugby-league, all I heard was Rugby and just said yes, didn't even know the rules or how to play. I was still learning union but it didn't take long to pick it up. I fell madly in love with the most beautiful game in the World, honestly it was like I just lost my Virginity and experienced my first orgasm. Except I was still a virgin lol Long story short, I've lived n played along side so many Maoris and Polynesians bros, for many years. Never having any culture clashes, only having fights with Maoris n white boys because of their racist comments and fighting Hamos, Tongans and Kukis because they want to tough guys. I have a bad habit of going head to head with bullies. I've probably lost more than I've won but I'll still be looking to go head to head, again n again everyday. That's the honest truth of my life experience as it what defined me today. I'm a very proud Kuki boy and I choose not to wave my flag around, bro you can do whatever you want. I'm equally very proud of Aotearoa because its the place where I went to school, it's the place where most of my parents families have lived and died, its the place where i made all my friends and enemies, the place where I've experienced sorrows n happiness. Most importantly it's been my home where I've lived my whole life. My brother I don't care about any flags because it ain't about the flag, play hard but play fair and always enjoy the game. Regardless of who wins or loses, learn to celebrate the occasions together. Most importantly have the wisdom to be humble, we are the leaders that our children look up to. Peace, one love my bro!

@@dawsonben4276 Malo e lelei toko, not offended by the comment bro. Just took issue with a few statements you've said. Like 'But honestly be humble win or lose' lol stating something like that without an example of us not being humble is just a lazy statement. You see us still celebrate our Tongan Team's wins & losses the same, that's incredibly humble. Celebrate together? not a problem at all, that'll be great. However theres issue to that statement. Number 1, theres barely any Kiwi fans or Kuki Airani fans to celebrate with & 2. We all celebrate differently, we hold parades, while the Kiwis or Kukis have none tokz. You said 'how do you think the rest of Aotearoa is going to react, nothing but negative impact and violence either way', brother those idiots around Aotearoa who would get upset will only get angry in there own home. They haven't caused violence at all, just run their mouths inside the house which is ok, they can do that. But that won't stop us from celebrating our Team, Culture & History. It's not our fault some individuals in NZ are envious or jealous, we aren't hating on anyone or any culture, just minding our own business. Bro, I honestly don't know what made you give your life story but thanks for that anyway lol. Just like you, me and many other Tongans consider New Zealand home too. We are Proud Kiwis & Tongans. Oh so your issue is that we need to celebrate the occasions together?, brother you got to be honest here, you Kuki Airani people don't celebrate your own team or the Kiwi team at all so how would you go about celebrating the occasion since you know how to do it lol?. You use the term 'humble' a few lazy times with no context. It's important for everyone to know that NZ is a beautifully-diverse nation, whose people celebrate many things that are for or about their ancestral homeland. We Tongans are no different. NZ is home, however our parents, grandparents & the ones who taught them & so on, are from another land. It's important for all people to humble themselves and recognize the beauty of all cultures, remember our children learn what they see. Lets hope our teams play fair & hard in the RLWC, Peace and One Love toko!

@Renegade Kia Orana my Tongan brother, well said and of course I did celebrate. I celebrated Tonga victory and the lost, like I said to our staunch Kiwi supporters. The win was worthy of a Victory, it proves that NZ haven't learned from the untold hidings Oz have displayed over n over again and Tonga is a force to be reckoned with. As for the Kukis, my bro they're corrupted from the top lol The Iro bros had the right idea of cleaning up our team and management, they tried to rebuild it when they had a deal having 3 tests a year. It was with the NZ Maoris, went on for a few years then NZ pulled out lol I understand where you're coming from as I can only apologise for my misunderstanding your view. Peace n one love bro
