Oh don’t worry, they’ll switch to that narrative soon, they just can’t do it as the cognitive issues are so obvious because then the bias would be too blatant even for CNN. Their machine relies on the facade they’re some kind of neutral unbiased fact reporting outlet, that way when they criticize Trump with outlandish biased nonsense their viewers think it’s the middle unbiased view and anyone who doesn’t agree is “extreme far right ultra MAGA”.

OR Biden drops out, the DNC has a convention to choose a candidate, and literally ANYONE they choose (likely Newsom) will have an easy time defeating Trump. Why would you want the race to be incredibly difficult for Dems? Biden has to drop out or it’s a gift to Trump

Respectfully, I don't think that's necessarily true, although I do think you have to learn to sort of sift the chaff from the wheat, so to speak. There's been a lot of good reporting, thankfully, to keep people informed. Sometimes emotions might get in the way, but not always. There has alao been a lot of misinformation and disinformation, but that isn't always the media's fault. That's something we all need to watch out for.

I'm from overseas, but I lived in NY in the 1980s. At that time, I thought that the NYT was the greatest newspaper I'd ever seen. Impartial, informative and factual. When I travelled there more recently, and read the current NYT, I could not believe how it had changed. I could have been reading Pravda in the old soviet Union. It presents as nothing more than a group of haters who want to undermine America.

It was definately tragic, but if given a chance President Biden could have taken a deep breath and restated his thoughts. He had a full week to prepare for the debate and his team pretty much set the rules without audience and muted mics. If he does this bad under such optimal circumstances, we need a better candidate!

I think there’s no debate that Joe Biden has been great on many levels, especially delivering on the infrastructure bill and build back better, but a president also needs to be able to sell a political vision, and that’s going to be hard for him, even though I think he’s done a great job, and I’d vote for him if I was a US citizen

Don't blame the moderators. The AGREED RULES of the debate, were that there would be no real-time fact checking, nor any shown on the screen to the audience. Biden asked for the debate, set most of the rules, and agreed to all the rules. The moderators are not there to do the job of holding either party accountable for lying, that is the job of the opponent. Biden proved unable to refute anything Trump said, even after Trump teed up several absolute softballs that any competent candidate would have knocked out of the park. He didn't even dispute the lie that a Democratic governor was allowing abortions AFTER BIRTH. He was befuddled and incapable of stating the actual facts. The moderators didn't make him say 15,000 jobs instead of the actual 15 million. They didn't make him say there are 1000 trillionaires (which don't even exist) rather than billionaires. They didn't make him say insulin cost on medicare was capped at $15, two times before getting it almost right at $35, when what it really is, is $35 PER MONTH. Tapper and Bash did their job. Biden showed that he cannot call out a liar with any details, and he cannot keep straight simple numbers, concepts and facts that he has been practicing for a week. Do you remember the days when presidents would hold press conferences and answer question under pressure for an hour or two, regularly? It is now obvious why he doesn't do that. He can't. If his advisors are keeping his policies and results on the rails, then let those people run for the office. We don't need an elderly puppet running the country. There are many much more competent people available to run. He had a great career in government. Trying to extend it beyond January 20, 2025, all the way to 2029, is not in the interest of the nation.
