Bro this is the NFL (Not For Long). Players get called out all the time. Giants o-line gave up 85 sacks last year. 2 nd in history. Damn right all the linemen’s jobs are on the line.

People pretend like any QB could of worked with that Oline. We lost DJ twice last year from free hits. Tyrod got deleted and had to be out a few games. Devito started to get in a rhythm before he got decked on a few drives and his game drastically dropped after that Packers win. You can't develop or run any kind of offense if we aren't blocking.

The worst one ever was last year. With the Jets, they didn't actually show anybody getting caught, they only showed people that made the team. It was basically just a commercial for Aaron Rodgers. There used to be good episodes though like when the dolphins had to fire Chad Johnson and trade vonte Davis.

@@limmiesnoddy1977Right well this one is also in the off-season instead of training camp which I think is probably preferable to the front office since they have more control. They're only protecting the staff not the players as well. It's a little more risky when you have 80 players, many of them young and inexperienced, in front of the cameras

Giants has never really participated in content related media.... ever. So to get this kind of in your face, behind the scenes footage is awesome. Old man Florio always looking at it glass half empty. The Giants shouldn't be seen with contempt or unease. They are brave for releasing content months before a season starts. The only point I agree with Florio on is the possibility of a third party trading secrets for money or positional value for betting purposes. The NFL is a multibillion dollar machine and humans aren't all good. Definitely a possibility and sad to say most likely.

Giants fans have known for a long time that John Mara is a meddlesome owner who tries to puppeteer his GM on big moves, most of us think he pressured Shoen into keeping Daniel Jones much the same way he clearly tried to with Saquon. I don't think--at least in his mind--showing him meddling like that was a bad thing. John Mara wants it to be known that he was 100% behind Saquon because he's emotionally attached to Saquon the person.

They have to preplan and have after hours 8PM management zoom meetings while this is going on where the personal conversations occur. You do not want to piss off the players by having player conversation aired, including the real top 20 draft conversation. You give them conversations with lesser people whose opinions probably are not that critical.

Hard Knocks gives the Giants the opportunity reset all current narratives, including on Barkley, and the attempted trade up for Maye -- where they ALREADY showed Schoen saying something like "we can't go into the season with Jones possibly still rehabbing. We need other options. Maybe we draft one." That's a different narrative than: "Jones sucks, we have to move up and take a QB." That's what a LOT of people WANT that narrative to be.

Couldn’t choose what to comment about. It’s like playing wackamole we are every five seconds he comes with another paranoid stupid idea that you want to smack down. I watched both episodes last night. There was nothing given away, but the process by which draft and trade and resigning decisions were made. I have no idea how that could ever affect how I would bet again or do an over under. Well, I wasted another 15 minutes.

The behind the scenes and what is made public should never match, if you’ve worked for any large corporation you should already know this. Talking in circles because sports are slow right now 😂

This made Joe Schoen look bad. I mean, talking about Jones like he could be the answer, yet saying you need to protect yourself because of injuries, or that you can't sign Saquon because Jones has a $40 mil cap hit. As if he wasn't the one who gave Jones the BS contract. And I GUARANTEE YOU when they lose to the Eagles this season, and badly, along with Saquon being the reason behind it, Joe gets fired, Jones gets canned, and maybe they save Daboll, but he might go, too. Just like when the Titans fired that idiot of a GM after they lost to the Eagles when AJ Brown had 3 TD's against them. Should've paid him vs Tannehill just like Joe should've paid Saquon and not Jones. Just saying, Mara really looked like he wanted to keep Saquon. I mean, so many people in the organization wanted to keep Saquon, and Joe had no clue anyone was dropping those hints. I just don't get how this guy got that job.

Mara is part of the problem.. he doesn’t want to move on .. can’t pay saquon .. . I agree with the jones thing but what were they going to do.. they can move on after this year and the hit isn’t bad. .. I definitely believe in daboll more than Joe

Florio has gone full-on tin foil hat. You can't edit in a convo of them saying DJ's issues were the O-Line if the convo didn't happen. So he's saying that they staged that convo in case they didn't draft someone? So they could edit out all of the stuff they said where they didn't support Daniel Jones? Or maybe, the most truthful thing is the truth. They still think he can play QB. They're scared about his injury history. The o-line wasn't very good, both because of injuries and not enough talent or experience. DJ's injury history is reason alone for a team picking 6th to consider trying to jump up and grab a QB they like. It doesn't have to mean they're done with DJ like the media reported. It can literally mean they like DJ but are still covering their butts with a good 2nd option that they also like. OR, you get a veteran backup you like in Locke AND you still draft a guy if you can get him. Because not having enough QBs is what gets people fired. Also, who cares if someone in the editing room sees footage that they use to win a bet on who starts for the Gmen in September? Does that affect the integrity of the game? It's not a player. It's not a coach. It's not anyone with any control over the game itself. It's insider trading that you will never control. The janitorial guy seeing the plays on the board can't know ahead of time if the right guard will actually pull and hit his block on time. He can't know if Troy Polamalu is going to time the snap and jump over the whole O-line when they run that play. Give me a break. It's insider info that you can barely leverage into anything. Tin. Foil. Hat.

Nah, Joe Schoen clearly didn't want Saquon (unless he could get a big discount), but he had to play politics because the owner John Mara wanted to pay Saquon the moon because he's emotionally attached and Mara has a bunch of his own plants (like his nephew Tim McDonnell, the most unqualified Director of Player Personnell in the league who is only there because of nepotism) in the front office. So Schoen had to talk everyone else out of paying him, while pretending that it was a tough decision for him to make.
