New York (1980s promo film)

Фильм және анимация

This 18-minute film promoting New York City as a tourist attraction was done in the early 1980s and includes such celebrity spokespeople as Mayor Ed Koch, conductor Zubin Mehta, fashion designer Bill Blass and theatrical entrepreneur Joseph Papp. My favorite sequence focuses on Broadway and features a magician-mime plus two dancers who dress as bellhops doing "Electric Boogie" dance moves. Only in the '80s. Sections are devoted to the arts, food, sports, fashion, restaurants, parks, Central Park, theatre, and, strangely enough, Atlantic City. Directed by Bruce Connors and George Pitt for Spectrum Associates. The narrator is the famous DJ/radio personality Rosko.
