Couldn't have described it better myself!!! ;) The only comment i'd make was about the first intake boot that was shown....It was an '86 TRX250R intake boot....but the angle wasn't correct and the Quadzilla LT500 boot angle worked so much better.....other than that you NAILED IT!!!! :D Thank you very much for using my build as Quad of the Week.....and especially commenting about the mistake DirtWheels made in their published version of their magazine! :D

I love the fact that your Canadian, and live around my area. This bike is truly beautiful, and I look up to the fact that you could have bought a brand new bike but decided to build your own. This is something that I would love to do, and glad that I can at least watch someone else do it.

Spoke to John a few times on the trx450r hybrid Facebook page. Very nice guy and willing to answers a lot of questions, and helps a lot with builds unlike a lot of people.

The damn sport quad market died years ago. It's really sad. Now it seems all anyone cares about are stupid side by sides. Miss the days of the sport quad shootouts and wars between manufacturers. Damn fabulous work though.

I have rode dirt bikes for over 40s years and had no problem sharing the woods with quads. The sxs are destroying everything though!!!! Riding areas here are being closed one after the other due the the damage they cause and the trash that people that ride them leave in the woods

Great build my man! Abolutely love it! PROPS BY FAR! Your attention to detail is extremely genuine to the T! The envelope is open and let's keep PUSHING IT FORWARD! You know that there is someone somewhere within all major recreational vehicle manufacturing corporations that are watching who is interested within what forms and types of machinery..... UTV's aren't a "BAD" thing necessarily, however the common interest within that specific "form" of recreational vehicles has factually destroyed the Sport ATV world as a whole within a very short term of a decade. The "GODFATHER" of ATV's is "Factually" the TRX250R and I only say this because the numbers are the proof within the pudding.................. Now, I have nothing against any other manufacturers to this regard within their designs, however the geometry within Honda's Original TRX speaks for itself as nothing has ever been built by a factory that can "Factually" out perform the "GODFATHER" to date.......Nothing With that said, there are many many many variables to consider within machine modifications, add on's and such..... A BEAST IS SIMPLY, A BEAST!

Well put Derrick! I think going 2 stroke would be a game changer to bring back quads... it's far fetched but it would differentiate quads from side by sides big time, because the likelihood of a 2 stroke in a SXS is almost zero.

That’s one badass 2 stroke all retro like that looks the best in my opinion !! Thad be so cool if they made that from factory

That rear shock mount won’t last long though.. he now created a triangel that go’s up n down on 1 point and will start to crack during jumps / landings. We run a crf450 in our Trx frame and created a smal notch in the tube to allow the intake to pass through but stil attached on both side’s of the frame

I get it and it is real cool but that was a hell of a lot of work and money just for a 250r I don’t see the problem with Gussetting a 250r frame or even buying an aftermarket frame vs all that it was a great vid tho and I’m still blown away by the black 389r I just saw u pulling the wheels up in every gear!

also the quad in mint dude shyt. probably has wicked high compression... 😂😭

I’d be nervous launching this with that upper rear shock mount. Don’t get me wrong I’m not knocking this build at all because it’s 100% better than I can do. Personally I feel that needs a flat plate bracket and gussets. That spot is super critical for strength on these bikes.

Just ordered my 310 CEO PV +4mm kit last night!! 🤘 I'm going to run it with a new LED 250C exhaust I have on order, because I don't give a flip!!!😂 Hopefully it works out o.k.?? Will be nice to compare with yours when it's done. Was going to go with a Sphynx or PC2000, but glad I picked the CEO. Will be even more fun following along with your video's now. 👍👍

@@jaywagner13 I would have, but I couldn't get the Sphynx with a Rotax PV. I'm going to use it mostly on my local MX track here in Boise and hit the dunes in Idaho and Oregon. All for fun though, not doing any racing. Ultimately, I have no experience with anything but a ported stock cylinder and might have been fine without a PV on a Sphynx. But from the good reviews from folks who had PV's (especially the CEO), I just ended up wanting one. And I think it was half the price as the Sphynx.

@@jaywagner13 Yeah, I don't know why either? I was willing to pay, if it came with the Rotax. I asked Arlan because I saw he had done them in the past (just a few yrs ago). He said they don't offer them in that size anymore. You could get the 363 Sphynx or bigger with the Rotax, but not the 300. The old KZread videos show Arlan cutting down the cylinders to reach the correct deck height, but he said they run spacer plates now. Because there is one size Sphynx cylinder he orders from CPI, custom to him. I don't know if that had anything to do with the PV setup for the 300 or what? I've had my 88R since new (30+ yrs), but I only started to look into this stuff around the same time as Mike Sabo. So I'm learning right along with him (with the help of Blake from DBC Racing and the FB groups). So don't quote me, as I may be talking outta my ass?!?! 😂

Shaun, call Arlan (if you haven't already) and let him know you bought the 250C pipe for the CEO cylinder. Great pipe, but if I remember correctly, he told me that pipe does not pair well with the CEO PV. He can build a pipe for you that will make MUCH better numbers but he has to know it's for the CEO PV.

Urban Kyng - I believe you're thinking of the Service Honda (not Factory Honda) that modified a 400EX frame and sold it as a kit for the CR250R :D

Why can’t other US companies make them? 500R and 250R. They killed the 2 stroke quads. Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki.

Didnt shoulder his rifle properly when i didnt drop a boar i shot "it charged us" and he was a bit paniced. Got a nice half ring around his eye. But great videos i cant wait for the 250r to be done od love to hear how it compares to a banshee seeing as how you have both. Kinda hard to get objective thoughts on em seeing as how everyone fanboys over one brand or the other. Would like to know what im missing. I havnt had the pleasure of riding one closest i been was a lt250r. And i thought it was twitchy.

At the risk of sounding like an old man.. I dislike the vast majority of newer vehicles. Just too overcomplicated. When my car gave out beyond repair a few years ago, I decided to go bike only and found a deal on a nice Honda rebel250. Made within the past 10 years with 70s tech! Does what I need to and is dead simple. Barely more complicated than a lawnmower. Can fix pretty much anything on it in an afternoon! I definitely do prefer 4strokes though.. I've just had much better luck with em in terms of reliability.
