Hey man love the content you put out and the newer style intros are pretty slick and get this o boy giggling like a schoolgirl........ Also was wondering if your using the stock stroke length in this engine? Can’t remember if you shared that info in your build video I’m goina rewatch to see but since I was already writing a comment I’d ask just in case .. thanks and keep doing what your doing man 🤙

If you could do a engine build on some older 4strokes good example being a steal frame Yamaha yz250f /yz450 .. the odd ball yz426f would be pretty dope .. don’t see a lot of info videos or build series on these old bikes and for the people that can’t afford a newer bike might appreciate your spin on the subject.

Mike a little friendly advice; I have a shitload of 250R saddle time and I stopped using 1st gear altogether for starts, especially in the sand but at the MX start gate as well. I got sick of popping wheelies and occassionally missing my 1 to 2 shift by accidentally hitting neutral instead of second. Just pop it up into second, hold it wide open, literally sit on the tank, and drop the clutch. Your starts are half the reason Dave is smoking you so bad out there. That quad of yours should be right on his grab bar. Try it bro I guarantee you abandon 1st gear starts as well! Great video I felt like I was there from the advice from an OG to a novice to borrowing buddies' tires, this is real life quad life for sure!

Yea I agree, not done much racing other than buddies for shits and giggles and don’t clam to be a professional unless it’s a professional Gumby but I’m big into hill climbs. For short run ups this technique can be the difference between top out or failure do to to much wheels spin or worse the dreadful “ neutral bomb “. Even with larger run ups just not having to make a shift if necessary can help gain more speed/momentum then if starting in 1st ..... just my opinion from my experience, as long as your out having fun and enjoying these beautiful machines Is all that really matters at the end of the day. Glad I found your channel and can’t wait to see what you have planned for us In the future !!!

Damn that thing boogies. I’ve noticed the powerband hits alot harder and it stays in the powerband alot longer compared to when you had it before. That thing is badass would love to see you race your banshee against it!

@@MichaelSabo hey boss I watched this video three times and like I said before that is truly a beast. Do they do work on dirt bike cylinders. The two stroke 250's always could use more power I tried the yz300 kit it is great but I could use more. Any heads up would be great. And again that quad is a beast. Wish you would of made this video a year ago. I still would of had mine and I dumping tons more cash into the honda trx250moneypit/r lol 20 grand brother I told you back in the day lol. Sounds good! What pilot and main jet did Dave have in your R for this video? When you took apart the engine the first time how did you get out the broken counter balancer bolt on stator side? Was it sticking out and easy to remove from clutch side case once you split them?

  • @nathansumerlin8391

Even though you were borrowing the tires, it’s really nice to see it on skat traks, good tires are an important part of any combination. A light 21”-22” 69-73ro tire really wakes up an r, those molded tires are junk! Bike sounds way better, you could here it was a little fat it the very top, but safe and fun to ride! And in the dunes it’s not a bad thing to be a touch fat
