You should return those oem size brakes and get a big brake upgrade to the Lexus GX460 brakes. They are a direct bolt on besides having the mounting tabs shaved down 3.5mm. A lot of Toyota big brake upgrades are just swapping other yrs and models of Toyota brakes. My cousin has a 3rd gen 4runner and his upgrade was the 1st gen tundra brakes. I gave him my old rotors so he could have spares. Anyways, good luck on your build! Can’t wait to see it coming along.

I miss my Double Cab FGT!!! Slap an AT Topper on it and you are good to go!!

I love this thing so far!

I would be more concerned about the frame rust than anything surface wise

it actually has the same exact wheel base as a long bed taco

Also, I’d keep your old lca’s just in case... I used the moog ones before and they failed within 10k miles and had to go get brand new Toyota ones which are really expensive. I was just trying to freshen stuff up but it was a big mistake. I would say the lower ball joints and the lca’s are something you don’t want to mess with as far as going aftermarket.

@@Vehiclesupportedtravel Ya, I’m just saying doesn’t hurt to keep your old ones around because the Toyota bushings are the best. I think especially if your putting bigger tires and a lift, putting more stress on them.

Always buy OEM LBJs and keep the old one as a backup, especially for overlanding.

Nice truck!!!! one of the best pick up ever produced, not too big, not too small, and with one of the most reliable V8's out there. If you decide to go with a lift up front, do not go over 2" ! Don't fall in the rabbit hole of spending thousands of $$$$$$$ on "long travel" suspension components where you will get minimal return, and decreased reliability and increased maintenance. I recommend the Bilstein 6112's in front, and an add a leaf for the rear. Deaver leaf springs are nice, but they got ridiculously expensive, usually $1200.00 for the set!!!!!! WTF! Use as many OEM parts as you can.Oooops just saw you got some new parts, trust me return the lower a arms and tie rods and go with OEM.

Thanks! I’ll probably use the new lowers I have and clean up and put new bushing in the old stock ones in case I need them
