The all-new Toyota Aygo X is a crossover unique in the A-segment, designed and produced in Europe to meet the demands of urban and suburban life in Europe.
In order to make the all-new Aygo X the best product offering in the segment, Toyota undertook thorough research into urban driving requirements across the continent by listening to customers’ desire for a stylish, compact and confident car.
In addition to the bold design and spice colour concept, the Aygo X also gives a feeling of robust, go-anywhere attitude with its 40% tyre-to-body ratio as befits a crossover model.
Interior noise levels have been reduced through extensive use and optimisation of sound insulating materials to create a quieter cabin where the Articulation Index has improved by 6%, amongst the top performers in the segment.
Toyota and JBL collaborated to deliver a premium audio system featuring a sound profile that is tailored to the characteristics of the Aygo X. The audio system consists of a four-speaker set up coupled with a 300W amplifier and a large 200mm subwoofer located in the trunk to deliver powerful bass, dynamic speaker response, and clear and wide sound stage.
The sky’s the limit in the Aygo X with the optional retractable canvas top, a first for an A-segment crossover. The new canvas top is designed to maximise drivers’ experience where the opening is enlarged by 40mm with a 20% increased viewing angle.
Using high-quality materials normally found on premium models, the canvas top offers improved water and dust protection. The new wind deflector structure also improves durability and robustness for additional peace of mind.
Standing still, enjoying the quiet, or getting wind in their hair, every driver is guaranteed emotions.
In adapting the proven and successful GA-B platform for the Aygo X, the new and unique A-segment contender delivers a unique crossover product, featuring a modified and downsized rear chassis section with reduced front and rear overhangs.
At 3,700mm in length, the new Aygo X is 235mm longer than its predecessor, although the wheelbase is increased by just 90mm. The front overhang is 72mm less than Yaris, while maximum wheel size is increased to 18”.
Designed for the narrowest city streets, the Aygo X also has an exceptionally small turning circle of just 4.7m, one of the tightest in the segment.
Total body width is increased by 125mm to 1,740mm compared to the Aygo. As a result, the front seats are moved 20mm further apart, increasing shoulder space by 45mm. Luggage space is also segment-leading with 125mm more luggage length and smart space design behind the rear seats, increasing cargo capacity by more than 60-litres to 231-litres compared to the previous generation.
Furthermore, the Pagoda roof design maintains compact overall dimensions, while providing comfortable, spacious cabin for driver and passengers. Vehicle height has been increased by 50mm to 1,510mm.
At the wheel, the steering system has been tuned for urban and suburban driving in Europe, with the new S-CVT transmission delivering best-in-class initial response, intuitive gearing and linearity while keeping a strong power-fuel consumption balance.

Alina listen to me: this new Toyota has very small space on the backstays and the back doors barely open, at about 60 degrees, while in the Hyundai i - 10 you would have much better space in the back, at least 4 inches more ! and the back doors open at almost 90 degrees. Also the trunk is slightly bigger in the Hyundai. Otherways there are not so obvious differences, and the Kia Piccanto is slightly smaller, but otherways the ,,cousin" of Hyundai !
The Pure model trim comes with 17 inch wheels, you must have been given an Edge model trim or above to have 18 inch wheels

Toyota has confirmed it will build its new minicar previewed by the Aygo X concept at its plant in Kolin in the Czech Republic. The car will be produced alongside the Yaris small car and will use the same GA-B version of the Toyota New Global Architecture as the Yaris, Toyota said in a statement on Friday.

@@SDADanCars I have ordered an Aygo X . I think for me & my needs it's a great car. I got rid of my electric volswagen E-up because I ended up hating it ,charging it was a nightmare for me in winter -7C sitting in it for 45 mins. for the full charge -it was not funny at all, so be carefull with the electric car hype before you buy one...

The reason why there is no handle on the boot or trunk and also no handles on the interior is because Toyota is trying to build it very cheap, but unfortunately it's costs a small Fortune.😗

I do like the shape and it's a good review but it's far too expensive for 20000 euros for a City Car which is cheaply built an underpowered with a 3-cylinder 72bhp engine.
Crossover it's a SUV on a car platform, instead of an SUV on a truck platform. I would buy if it was a 4 or 6 cylinder, I completely refuse to buy a 3 cylinder. That makes me want to look at another brand of vehicles all together. 72horse power, better hope like hell you never need to go up a medium or steep hill - over pass.

I'm looking at the Yaris but it looks so boring on the outside. Like the old style Corsa's. It may well be a better car than this but looks wise I think the X looks great.
Why have an x when most small hatches sit at this height. Might as well just put unpainted bumpers on your car,arch extensions etc. Not sure where they were going with it. 🤔😁

Not ix, it's pronounced ex! And it now looks like a Ford Ka from the side profile not cool. The current Aygo x trend in white and red trim is the best looking out there, that's 2018 to 2022. Plus you can you buy a used Aygo much cheaper than spending £/e20,000 on this crazy model. If you look inside there's too much exposed metal it doesn't look great and I don't like the Oval infotainment system its trying to look like an old Mini. I'm sorry but it looks dated already. Plus the 1 L engine carried over from the last aego is too weak for this heavier looking car. And unfortunately it is now slower than the current Toyota Aygo. True that is a fact. And 0-60 is much slower too! Not worth the money you can buy something much better. Thanks a great review though.😀

It can't be 2023 model we are still in 2022 remember? Also I think it's too tall and the wheels are too skinny. This SUV trend has to stop.

20000€ for an Aygo X is to much. We speak here about a small car but what is with the price. It's more for a model like vw polo or an opel corsa. For same price I can buy an Yaris with more extras !

@@albionmyl7735 True but without any extras. Okay, the model for €15,000 already has the engine, transmission, wheels and seats. But no metallic paint, no air conditioning and no radio.

Essentially the new Aygo is a 3 door hatchback. Unless you are double jointed or have a chiropractor on hand I wouldn’t attempt it. The rear access is terrible as the rear doors barely open. Poor design Toyota.

Nice video man but Toyota has proven again that they don't know to make a car look nice , I mean the design of this box on wheels it's absolutely hideous.. just look at it ,looks like an egg with wheels ,soooo ugly . 🍻
