    Hey man, I really appreciate you and what you do. Please don’t take this the wrong way, but this is not a basic guide. I’m an old-school guitarist who has been gigging for many years with a pedal board and I bought one of these things because it is “user friendly.” I need a basic tutorial much more basic than this. I am not a sound engineer And a lot of this is going over my head. Basic questions like, “how do I set this up so I can use one preset and boost volume when it’s time to play leads” are the level I am at. Again, I appreciate your knowledge a lot.

    Awesome stuff Damion! I learn something new in each of your videos. Also for those complaining about the SD IR being a "money grab" please know its super-cheap cost $6 and takes guess work out of dialing in a good cabinet sound.

    Hey Damion, great content as usual. You're the best TMP bug buster 🙂! Ha ha ha! More seriously, I'm looking forward to Fender updating their software so that the positions of the pedal buttons in the preset view accurately reflect their actual settings when you use the Pro Control application; it kinda bug me to have to click on the pedal to check the settings. Of course, on the TMP built-in screen, it would be less practical. Anyway, there's room for improvement and I'm confident that Fender will do the job. Cheers from across the pond, Chris.

    haha thanks brother. This is still the easiest modeler I've used (I've used the Helix, AxeFx3, and a few VSTs). As long as Fender continues to develop it, it will be one the greatest tools a guitarist can have - it already is! The bugs currently present don't take away from the value it provides. They're mainly just pain points you grow around lmao.

    One thing I don't quite understand is that when you set up a footswitch to trigger certain settings, say a solo boost and a slapback, you have to enter the off settings. Why can't that just be whatever the settings on the pedals are?😊

  • @damionandy

    @damionandy

    5 ай бұрын

    I'm not sure I understand. If you set up a pedal and program a button to turn it on and off, it'll turn it on and off with the settings you programmed it to have. If you aren't experiencing this, you may want to reach out to Fender's Customer Support.

    Hey Damion! Got a question about power conditioners and the TMP. Recently had a gig that caused a lot of "dirty noise" only coming from my output. The only difference was change of venue (my preset works perfectly fine at 10+ locations that we've played). Any suggestions to mitigate that?

  • @damionandy

    @damionandy

    Just like tube amps - noisy power. Consider getting a power conditioner.

    nah haha. I mentioned streaming bluetooth to the TMP from my phone during a gig. If you wanted to do this, you'd need to buy a bluetooth adapter. My only fear with this is latency, but if you do enough research and get a suitable adapter, you may not have to worry about it@@jcjohnson8611

    The fact that there is no import/export on release and your forced to use the damn cloud that consistently doesn't work, is a no sale. I returned my TMP piece of crap. After having a tech support at Fender argue with me about how they are new to the foray of modeling and I need to be patient was absolute BS. Then I was told my Fender account was too old and I had to create a new one and try that to get the cloud save to work. This has been an issue with there TM line amps for several years. Stay with the Helix or Fractal and avoid this disastrous mess. No save to your PC/MAc at release should be a no sale period!

    Sorry you've had a negative experience. I think the TMPis a great tool to ave in your toolbelt. I still have my AxeFx3, but I gig my TMP most of the time due to form factor, ease of use, and sonic capabilities.

    First...Your preset level advice can't be more wrong... 2nd, yes, you're trying to sell an that IR. People, there are 10s of 1000s of great IR's out there.

  • @damionandy

    @damionandy

    I usually ignore comments like this, but I'll bite. Please explain to me how 23% preset volume is correct and my advice to change it to 80%+ is incorrect? Second, I state in the video, and right here in the comment section, it is not necessary to buy a custom IR, but go on to explain what this one is doing. I also follow it up, AGAIN, stating it is not necessary and show what you can do instead - I just show what I use. I am trying to sell it if anyone is interested - it's something I use, it was created by a friend, and I get a kick back, but I also recognize it's not necessary. I'm not saying, "If you don't buy this IR, your TMP is useless." There's no shame in selling a product, it just means it's not for you - and that's okay. Either way, thank you for watching the video. Your comment still supports the channel and I hope it helped you.
