    Hi Damion … if you use a double split path you can have the amps as one blend in the first split and then have the effects in the second split.. I like to have a single reverb on top and put modulation and delay on the bottom… then mix the amps to taste and if running two fr cabs hard pan left and right on the second split… separating reverb from delay in a wet dry(with a touch of verb) keeps it from mudding up… keep up the good work

    Interesting! This is a new concept for me, haha. I believe you can still do panning with the rig I created and shared. It shouldn't matter the IR is on the bottom track, but I'd have to test it to confirm (I almost did this when filming, but decided not to since not everyone is running stereo). How much do you typically pan in your own presets?

    I have two bands on the go so for one I self mix on the second stage and send to front of house as the the sound guys always link and split the channel hard left and right…. The main idea behind wet dry is you get your dry level set stereo and then bring the wet channel up in stereo to the level the room or venue can take before it gets to washed out or muddy… the second band I run two frs and two line outs to mixer. I then mix the Chanel’s myself as above … hard to get a sound guy to go with this concept sometimes … however I can’t run only one amp be it real or virtual as I am so used to having the tonal range of two amps!!!

    @@damionandy Just uploaded them now ... should be under the user name ''Mark Mark"'... the Presets with the R at the end are the self mix where i just adjust the lower channels left right and the clean and blues ones are the left and right hard pan... i tend to mod these and tweak if i need a particular sound for a song but the layout is mostly always the same so i am not confused on stage ... I am old and Irish!!! ... have a play and let me know what you think... i mostly try to emulate my real world board and amps and bring those concepts to these layouts... on the modeller / multi effects side I loved the Gt1000 but took me two years to get sounds i was happy with as i was always tweaking and just wanted to know where 7 was on my amp dial!!! I love the TMP for the simplicity to usability... finds it hard to understand why it gets so much hate...

    also forgot to say on these presets i tend to use the fs mode on each so i can turn on and off what may be required or jump from preset to preset depending on mood and boredom!!! Options within options!!!

    Hey Damion, captivating video! The beauty of the TMP lies in its vast scope for experimentation, provided you have enough time, of course. Sharing rigs through Fender Cloud is fantastic, though its current interface could be more user-friendly in terms of navigation, sorting, and organization. However, I'm optimistic that Fender will enhance this aspect. Impressive loop performance! Congrats for your 1K+ subscribers, you rock!!! Cheers from across the pond, Chris

    Thanks for that ..but is it possible to have 2 outputs (left and right ) left for dry right for wet (2 seperate amps ..right containing all wet effects no direct signal o the wet amp I could do this with my amp set up and Helix but can’t seem to achieve it with TMP …would really appreciate your help..

  • @damionandy

    @damionandy

    Yes, you'll have to do the parallel programming you see on this video (idk what it looks like on the Helix), but to make a strict L/R output, you'll click the mix icon on the system path (I do this in the video for volume), then click the pan button to the right of level and pan hard left or hard right. Depending on how hard you pan depends on how much signal is going L/R. Just a word of caution, this is my first time ever having the chance to do this.. I was a pit musician for the Addam's Family musical and tried this one night before really testing it... The left side of the stage heard a Vox AC30 Dry signal, the other side heard a princeton... it did NOT have the effect I was looking for, I was expecting the FOH engineer to blend it on my behalf... well... learn from my mistakes lmao. Be careful panning hard one way or the other and test it before gigging - if possible. At least let the engineer know if you're gigging and need a second set of ears on it. Hope this helps! Don't forget, Thursday we're having another Webinar session. I always end early to open the floor up for Q/A. If you haven't figured it out yet, bring your question there and you can actually share your screen so I can give direct feedback.

    Hey Damion, great video , I just received my TMP and absolutely love it . I have a question, when you want to use one amp for clean and other amp for Dirty should you set the amps on parallel or Series?, Ex: Set One Toogle to activate the clean amp and other toggle to activate the Dirty amp. And I have a request can you set a Fuck Tone guitar rig, Maybe you don't like that genre but i cool be fun . Thanks a lot

    It's completely up to you. If you just want the entire UI cleaner, then yes. However, it's not necessary. If you watch the Archetype Plini video I released, I have a clean JC120 amp and a Friedman. I switch between the two with a single button. This is my preferred workflow, but you can literally do whatever you want.

    Thanks for making these TMP videos. Have you thought about exploring some presets that utilize stereo distortion pedals in the parallel signal path? I am working through figuring this out now, with the OBNE Screen Violence and OBNE Beam Splitter, and having varied results thus far. Just curious if you have tried something like that.

    I love going over the presets Fender makes to reverse engineer it for my own personal tastes - it's honestly how I've learned so much about modeling (In full disclosure, I have really only gotten into it since October, I just obsessively research / learn things). Do you have any example preset recommendations for the stereo distortion?

    @@damionandy I just figured it out, messing around with it this afternoon. I created a parallel 1 routing. The mixer is panned hard left and hard right. Then comes fx loop on the left side, fx loop 4 on the right side. Then comes two amps and two cabinets. With the beam splitter, the distortion is panned and sounds super wide. It sounds really good. I just wish fx loop 1 and 2 could be used in this scenario, but I can’t put those blocks anywhere in the parallel path.
