- The Reveal Pour Painting😍
I have a new studio and this came with new creative flows🤗. I wanted to figure out how to make a perfect gradient background with a Pour on top, which dries transparent. So the background shines through the Dutch Pour. I have tested this out for days, weeks and on numerous canvasses. BUT I figured this new acrylic pour technique out! The challenge was to find a mixture; that dries transparent, works like paint and won't move or eat up my colors while drying.
This series and this painting are titled 'REVEAL' since the true colors will only reveal when dry and the painting is ready. She is shy at the first😉. True beauty lies within.

Transparent mixture: 65% Owatrol Floetrol, 15% Liquitex Gloss Medium, 5% Liquitex iridescent medium, 15% water.
Paint mixture: about 60% acrylic paint, 40% water (I eyeball)
Canvas size: 16x16in (40x40cm)

That is such a clever and achievable way for new acrylic pourers to create a stunning background. Spray paints. When we watch a video like this one. Everything seem so easy and simple. You seem to strip things back(even though a lot of planning, ideas and perfecting has been done), focusing on minimalism. Yet the results pack such a powerful punch. It reminds me of dancers who always look so graceful and make dancing effortless and captivating to watch, when really there is a lot going on to make it look this way. Rinky Loved your transparent color use. I would love to know which brand you used. I tried this a year ago but I used floatrol to act like the transparent color, my background lost some of its color because of the floetrol and I did not like it. So I stopped

And WOW. I'm so impressed !
It's a great concept. It will allow ya to paint the canvas in a color like red that might normally lose its rich color when white is introduced. No more dulling the red down and getting a pink. You could paint the background a rich red color and then whatever color pedals ya want without worry of the dreaded pink. I'm not sure my thoughts are being conveyed as well as they seem in my head. Lol. I look forward to watching this new series. Please do a yellow flower spinout like ya did that gorgeous pink one. I'm not bored of that series yet and hope you also continue it intermittently while doing this series. Also, congrats on the new studio.
