- The Reveal Pour Painting no. 2😍
I have a new studio and this came with new creative flows🤗. I wanted to figure out how to make a perfect gradient background with a Pour on top, which dries transparent. So the background shines through the Dutch Pour. I have tested this out for days, weeks and on numerous canvasses. BUT I figured this new acrylic pour technique out! The challenge was to find a mixture; that dries transparent, works like paint and won't move or eat up my colors while drying.
This series and this painting are titled 'REVEAL' since the true colors will only reveal when dry and the painting is ready. She is shy at the first😉. True beauty lies within.

supplies and mixture of this painting:
Transparent mixture: 65% Owatrol Floetrol, 15% Liquitex Gloss Medium, 5% Liquitex iridescent medium, 15% water.
Paint mixture: about 40% acrylic paint, 20% water, 40% transparent nixture
Panel size: 12x12in (30x30cm)
Acrylic paint: By Amsterdam; Titanium White, Persian Rose, gold, van dycke brown
Spraypaint: Amsterdam Acrylic Spray Paint special for Indoor use (no odor).

Rinske, this is beautiful! It would be interesting if you did a ring pour with the gradient background and the transparent base. Use the base as one of your colors when you layer your cup, and it should create transparent rings in between your colors.

I love the transparent base idea. I've been thinking about finding a way to do this. I can think of so many applications for this. For instance, pouring on wood and not covering it up entirely.

Rinske, this is fabulous! My suggestion is a moon, with the same gradient effect but using off-white and grey and then some combination of pearls, metallics dark and light fine lines above that might give the effect of mist, clouds or some far away plant type of feel 🪐🌘

Absolutely love this technique, Rinska. I envision a gradient sunset of yellow to rose to violet with an aqua, teal and gold ocean wave which the 2 first passes of the blowout would achieve. Maybe even a little flick of paint to finish it off. Not sure how it would work, but that's going to be my first attempt at this wonderful reveal painting.

It was the same color palette, but the other one was on the spinner, and it forced the paint to spread out on the larger canvas. Lovely results either way.😊

Absolutely Beautiful!!! This thought came to me.... combine this technique with the previous one. A gradient base, combined with a color around your puddle on top of the transparent.
