Thank you so much Marie! The transparent base is a mixture of floetrol, water and liquitex pouring medium. The formulas are listed in the description box for each video. It's to help the "blow paint" move around easier on a dry base.

Hi Brenda! You can use other PM brands like Amsterdam. But the PM isn’t necessary. You can always just add a bit more water to the Floetrol.

Thank you! You could probably use anything that dries clear for example Elmer's glue-all mixed with water or maybe just liquitex pouring medium.

Love the colors. Hope this is not a stupid question, but I am new to this and I see that a lot of people say they use: Transparent base formula: 80% US Floetrol, 15% water, 5% Liquitex Pouring Medium- what is this in grams. Please be nice, just trying to understand

Hi! The grams depends on the amount of transparent base needed for a certain size canvas which is why I list the formula as percentages so it can be calculated with any size canvas. For a 14 inch canvas like the one in the video you'd probably need about 6 oz of transparent base. I have an online course available on my website that explains this in further detail along with charts and info on the amounts needed in grams as well as ounces.

Thank you so much Montanna! The blow colors are the same thickness that you would use for a normal Dutch pour. There is a small mound.

The transparent base is Floetrol, water and Liquitex pouring medium. The gradient base should be dry before adding the transparent base. All of my formulas are listed in the description box.

Crystell when u put down your paint over moon did u have a cell activator in the black paint to get the cells thank u

No cell activator. The lacing comes from the mixing of the Floetrol and paint.

Hi Idith! I use the matte Liquitex pouring medium. I’ve never used Owatrol before but from what I’ve heard it’s comparable to Floetrol but it might a little bit thicker. So I’m thinking it should work similarly. The main thing is that you want it to dry pretty clear.
