Delighted to be commenting here to say I am getting one in 2 weeks ☺️ - an id.4 fell through, test drove(and loved) the BYD Seal, but the Tesla stole my heart and I’m delighted to be getting one Always enjoy your videos and they really helped me decide what car to buy over the last few months

How's the insurance? I was put off from a used model when I looked at quotes. I hope you enjoy yours when it arrives.
Really enjoy this channel - one of the best car reviews/journalists out there .... !
Just picked up the new Model 3 LR, great car much improved from the 2019 one I had previously.
I've just realised, there're no "Oh Jesus Handles" in it. But, in more seriousness, I honestly think the lack of an indicator stalk would rule it out for me. Definitely designed for the US market. Drove all of Route 66 last October, and came across the sum total of 5 roundabouts in 4,500km of driving. I went through almost the same amount of roundabouts leaving the airport car park when I came home.

Took me all of about six minutes and two roundabouts to get used to having no indicator stalks on a test drive
I appreciate Tesla's success in making the 3 a different offering for a decent price. However, an indicator stalk is a must for me.
Picking up mine tomorrow !! 🙂

Nobby your reviews are great! Thanks for sharing them with us. Wonderful footage above the car, well done. My sister took us on that same drive last time I was back home (live in Toronto now). So gorgeous up there!! Selling my Kia Optima Phev and will go to EV or a Tesla. I really dont like the white color lol, it looks AMAZEBALLS in red

Look forward to your review of the new Performance version!
40k 🎉🎉well done man.
Good review there Nobby. Others say the suspension improvements are significant in terms of reduced noise and suppleness. I think the exterior looks much better, as does the interior. There’s a company about to release an aftermarket column stalk which looks exactly like the old one, for those who can’t deal with its absence. I’d like the challenge of learning something new though, personally. Think you’d get used to it. Also re Elon - people might disagree with his politics (hard borders etc), but he’s fighting for uncensored speech for all - that’s his mission on X. I think that should be applauded.
Grand review as always.
The Model 3 getting better, but all the controls on the steering wheel and having to choose the gears on the screen instead of on the center console is a bit off-putting, but I am old school, but I am sure you would get used to it . Lovely car , and at a very good price to , but I will hold on to my diesel ⛽️ for a while yet , keep the good reviews coming.
Yeah I think you are spot on with the new model 3. I have a 231 model 3 RWD and it’s a nice car fast enough and very good range. I took the new one for a test drive it’s definitely a bit of an improvement but not worth a change now. I’m agnostic regarding the stalks too it would probably have been better to leave them but not too bothered either. My favorite thing about the Model 3 is the efficiency it’s very good. The auto wipers are terrible though never work properly 😂 don’t get me started on Musk 🤦♂️ Good review
Hopefully have mine soon
Incredible car

Honestly, I'd ignore the swipe gear selector and use the roof-mounted buttons, sounds quicker and more convenient and just cooler; like controlling a helicopter or aircraft. That screen in the back seems a little awkward to actually do anything with aside from adjusting the HVAC controls.

The gears you get used to in 2 mins and my 5 year old was racing using the rear screen. Guess it’s what you’re used to!
I initially disliked the rear lights design when it first came out but it's growing on me. Still hate the lack of stalks though, but it seems like a minor thing. I'm looking for an EV to replace my hyundai Bayon (bought it because of your review!), and I'm still quite conflicted about going with a refreshed Model3, a Model Y [either the current one with 0% APR or the upcoming 'Juniper' revision] or the upcoming Ioniq 5 that should be arriving here late 2024 if I recall correctly 🙃 In any case, awesome vid! Keep up the great work!!

Hi Nobby great review thanks! torn between a new M3 RWD and a used M3 LR - about 4-5k less for a 3yr old LR - the new one has better build quality, the rear screen for the kids, full 8 yr battery warranty and looks class - the used one has longer range and less reliant on touch screen - would appreciate your thoughts?
@NobbyOnCars

Between their charging network and the distances you regularly do, is there a need for the LR? If not, I’d take this. It’s that bit more efficient too.
Greate review. Love the look of the car, love the idea of it too. My only reluctance to buying one is the re-sale value. I can imagine the trying to sell a 3 year old EV is going to be extremely difficult (unless you sell if extremely cheap). What are dealers giving on trade ins against a 3 year old tesla, for example?

Nothing beats a Tesla. I wasn't sold until I took one for a drive and wow, placed my order for the new Model 3 immediately. I think you've seriously underrated this car. The improvements over the past models are massive and impressive. Just about every single feature has been drastically improved. @@NobbyOnCars Not really. Being an ICT professional for the past 35+ years, I've always dreamt of what we are now witnessing thanks to Elon and Tesla. Constant incremental updates by just about every car manufacturer over this time has lead me to understand and believe that we've all been fed BS. Now, thanks to Tesla, they're all catching up, in pure panic mode. Despite the recent 'developments' by BYD, CATL and others, they are still at least 5 years behind Tesla, purely on software development alone. Hopefully, Tesla will continue to push the automotive development further and further, and I think we are about to see a massive development and leap forward in combining SpaceX and Tesla technologies into one ground breaking product. But, that's just an observation from a nerd.

I find it quite sickening. A lot of the spec in the car has helped me considerably in a practical way due to a physical condition, powered seats, powered boot lid which was an after market extra costing €950 on top of the €54,400. The new revised model is very basic.

EV only make sense if you have free charging at work and commute decent distance to work. If you spend 100€ a month for gas and do 10k km a year you will see no benefit switching. After 10 years what you saved on gas will be neglected with battery replacement.

Congrats on the ever increasing subscriber base Mark…….but I won’t bother watching this review as it’s an EV. Will look out for your next review of an ICE car. Btw, have you seen the news that EV sales are down 19% year on year and more interestingly, down 42% in the past month? While I'm not sure what type of motor will power future cars, the current lithium ion battery tech is just not the solution. Too heavy, long charge times, battery degradation, too easily affected by cold, fire risk etc etc. I feel sorry for the poor sods who have invested in this motoring equivalent of 3D tv.
