Exactly! I've been the most supportive of this movie but that suit reveal is awful... Let's hope a second look can fix the damage done
When I see the new Superman suit, it feels like something his mom put together for the first time. It's not made from Kryptonian materials or technology; it's genuinely crafted from materials available on Earth. You can tell it's been worn and torn, like it's seen some battles. I believe he'll eventually get an upgrade, but for now, this suit feels fitting for the journey he's on.

It looks like a CW suit but Tyler Hoechlin’s suit is better.
The suit just didn't do anything for me. The photo they decided to go with didn't bring out the best characteristics of the suit, especially if it looks better than what was shown. The background looked cheesy, and the suit appeared bulky on the guy, indicating it has thick material. Overall, it may not have been the best picture if the suite is better than it looks. James may be trolling the fans to get a rise out of them.
The suit looks like a cross between the New 52, Kingdom Come and My Adventures With Superman versions.....I like it and I'm sure it will look amazing in action.

Positives IMO: Color scheme Trunks & Belt Symbol Boots Negatives IMO: Texturing Neck and Cape molding Not in love at first sight here but this is an improvement over Cavill super dark but shiny suit IMO. Agree that this is not the best photo for an Official Suit Reveal but I think you're overreacting, which is par for the course when you cover Gunn.

Not just the costume but the tone of the photo itself is strangely off putting to me. Say what you will about the Fantastic Four cast but at least that Valentine's Day announcement photo (which was also sort of a costume reveal) actually seemed to match the expected tone of the movie or its setting or characters. The tone of this Superman picture though just seems so conflicting with everything we had been hearing. Normally there'd be nothing wrong with that, but in this case it invites obvious comparisons to Snyder's take on the character's first outing.
the lines and textures in so many of these modern costumes is all because they are mostly coming from the same costume designer... Judianna Makovsky seems like she just can't help herself but to add unnecessary lines...
