This is an April Fools joke. That is all. I love Johnathan Blake. He is a rad drummer and even better guy. If you haven’t, check out his new recording, you won’t be disappointed. If you have, check it out again. You know it’s that good.

I'm friends with Jonathan. He is an absolute sweetheart. I first met him over 20+ years ago. He plays with a close friend of mine, Nat Janoff, who is an incredible guitar player and musician.

Awesome! I know Nat too! We all went to William Paterson together a bit longer ago than I'd care to mention these days. Thanks for watching!

Actually, the lower and flatter you place the rack tom, the further away it becomes. Same with the bells of cymbals. You may not have to raise your sticks as high, but you have to reach further/straighten your elbows more, and sometimes even lean forward.

The only thing that's flat on my drums are the hi hats. Maybe the floor tom, but that's it. It's good to change things up, but I don't know if I'd want to have my drums set up flat like this. I don't think it looks good either. It kind of reminds me of Keith Moon, or that guy from Faith No More.

Great stuff Tim. Just as our own individual Drumming styles are unique to each and every one of us, I find so is the set up. We are all different sizes and shapes and probably playing a wide variety of kits of different sizes, and we must adapt and optimize along with being able to find possibly an easier way to emulate a Drummer’s sound or fill but with a sticking that is maybe easier and more practical to play. I’ve gone through 21 surgeries with a lot of physical limitations that required adjustments, but I pray to play until the day I die. I find Drumming to be a great physical and mental exercise. Thanks and Blessings Tim! By the way, the earth is flat!

Theres a metal drummer, chris turner, who plays with all his stuff very low. The cymbals are just angled up towards him. But i started to see how he can be so fast and so precise because hes not wasting arm movements
