New septic aerator pump installation is super easy.

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

My pump was overrun by ants and quit working. Installation took less than 5 min. Please don’t pay someone to do this. Or do. It’s your money. Thanks for watching.

I did a Retro from shaft. .ine is whirlwind. Immediately noticed that the smell disappeared. The sprinkler water use to smell, you can smell it when it turned on. Now, you can barely tell. Shaft just doesn't aerate enough and if heavy rains come and you don't shit areator off , you will buy a new shaft every year to other year. I installed myself. Got one with pressure alarm in it so didn't have to run air line to control.lanel..Got a flat lid vice the dome, drilled hole in top for cord and spa tubing to go thru, and plugged in. If had a tech come, they would charge labor an addtl 300-400 on top of 590. Cost a bit but did get housing, alarm, and the 80 vice 60.

Looked like your "kill switch" had moved to far to the right, well left from your view. Its the white piece. Once it shifts you'll see a small red or orange button exposed right near the base of that white piece. That's what forces it off. It's a safety kill that prevents the unit from further damage. Typically your magnet is screwed up or has broken or worn out. Also look for red dust. That means your coils are gone or look at the diaphragm (smal disc like piece that moves in and out like a suction.) That could be split or punctured.

Yes The Ants Keep Killing My Aerator !! I think the last time i paid $600-800 for them to replace and install one , or maybe that was to get my septic tank pumped out? Either Way i found it on amazon for $232.00 I am going to install it today and save some $$$. Fire ant killer is going all around it too! I did find a kit to repair it im going to order that as well and try it out , that way i have a back up ! Thanks for the video

Ants love those things. Try setting it in a block or some pavers just to get it off the ground a little. Not that ants can’t climb but it seems to help

What turns the Aerator on and off? Does it stay on 24 hours a day?

I asked my septic service tech about it and he said it runs 24/7. There is no on and off switch on mine. It’s just a plug and play.

@Yosako I did exactly what my septic service provider instructed me they were going to do. I replaced my broken hardwired pump w the exact same pump that was there and hard wired it to aerate my septic tank to oblivion because I enjoy carnage!!! If it malfunctions and overflows shit everywhere I’ll let u know so u can point and laugh at me. Have a good one!

@Yosako well, I have no clue where that would be n my system. I’ve never even been told about that. Regardless, I replaced an old part with the exact same part the exact same way it was originally installed. Also, I did do some research and found this about aerobic systems…… maybe it’s what I have. Maybe not. (( Aerobic Septic Systems. This system has a septic tank like a typical system, but there is a pump pushing air into the liquid in the tank 24 hours a day. The air speeds up the bacterial process that breaks down all of the “stuff” that is mixed with the water we get rid of. This is how the system can do the job without a leach bed.)) who knows. I really do appreciate the Info man.

Lol. Here’s the entire install….. turn off power to the pump. Remove the old pump.. Splice power cord to the new pump. Wire nut wires. Turn on power. Installation complete. 👍🏻
