    Well, let me kinda decide for ya ! I've had my Ego for 7 or 8 years and I'm more than satisfied with it ! It came with the 5ah battery which last about 40 minutes, and believe me after 40 minutes, you're ready for a break too ! It takes about 20 minutes to recharge, and then you're both back mowing ! I always had Lawn Boy gas mowers before with Honda engines, and my Ego is just as powerful as they were ! All battery mowers might be good, but I wouldn't know, cause I'm sticking with Ego ! ( I just bought their snowblower, and can't wait for winter...ha ! )

    Great revisit, thank you! How does it do going through puddles? I have a swale that always fills with water in the spring that needs to get mowed before the grass gets too tall. Will the water kill the electric components or the battery? Is this a "mulching mower" or are all mowers mulching capable these days? Thanks!

    I’ve had my lawnmower for 3 years no problems mate. I hose it off every month. It’s for the average home owner with a quarter of acre who cuts the grass once a week maybe every 2 weeks. I recommend you get 3 of the 80v batteries. The weed trimmer is pretty darn good. I’ve got the 40 v headgear trimmer it solid with only one 40v battery .The chain saw is useful for light fallen limbs and useful when ATVing trail riding cuttin trails. And Camping. But the 80v leaf blower is the prize of the whole tool line. It a beast on its own and then you still got a boost mode.I use to cut lawns and had a backpack blower buy the time you crank and put the backpack on you will be thru and finished with the 80v and putting it back in the shed. Of coarse I with everything had more power and run time and lower prices on the batteries. I’m all in. I think it was a good investment. I kno I can get another 3 years out of them . Down side is that eventually I will have to buy new batteries. I wonder if battery plus will replace the cells for the low low

    I got the push model. And yes, you are rough on it. A couple of suggestions that might help. Don’t use the self propelled mode. Sharpen the blade and keep it sharp. A dull blade requires more load than is necessary. Also, bagging increases the load more than mulching and side thro, thus bringing you closer to shut down. The system can sense load needs and increases and decreases accordingly. So far I am happy with mine and I get about 2 hours out of the 2 batteries. I also got the weed whacker too.

    Exactly....I got the push mower and the 40v trimmer/edger....and I love them both.....I got 1 battery but I purchased the "rapid charger" instead of the standard charger just to compensate for it....and on a full charge I get about 40 minutes with the lawnmower....don't really know how long with the trimmer because I don't use it for a long period of time.

    most of the battery life statements are "no load" ratings. self propel steals about 10-15% and heavy grass load another 30% so your actual battery life in real life is 55-60% which is your experience.

    Keep searching for a better option. This machine looks great and runs smooth, sadly the romance will end soon. 90 days warranty cause it’s very likely it won’t last long after that. And you have to buy battery and charger separately. It’s almost a scam, do yourself a favor and buy a known brand with a decent warranty,

    actually how many battery mowers have you owned? My 56v poulon pro couldn't cut half this height without stalling, even if the HF could cut that fast the battery would be gone in 10 mins max. battery mowers not for tall stuff like this.

  • @markmurto

    @markmurto

    Жыл бұрын

    @@davidroberts6594 I've tried a few over the years. The newest brushless motors work on a Hall's effect type arrangement that really ups the efficiency. Really, a fresh battery on the latest motor with up-amp sensing should't stall, and none if the good brands stall on thick grass. If the battery degrades, amp draw is limited. Surprised to hear yours stalls as you describe. But I stall gas motor mowers more than new electric ones. The Greenworks is a beast and powered through, pulling the needed power.

    DO NOT BUY!! I purchased an Atlas 21" mower in May of 2022, and I tried starting after being stored over the winter (in S.E. Texas-very mild), and now in March of 2023 it won't start and no one locally will even look at it. No recourse unless you buy an additional warranty, either.
