Love these segments. Thank you. There isn't much out there on photo books and it's a chore to check all the publishers regularly.

That is an awesome idea! Would love to know as well - though perhaps they need to create different lists like "Classic" "Fashion"..

Top 10 would be great! Also loving the idea of different lists by type, like J T mentioned!

Really hoping the "extended works" from Vincent Peters comes true! I loved Personal, wasn't as big of a fan of his other large book, but really enjoyed Selected Works other than the very small size. I'd love to see a larger version (both in content and in size for it!) The Rihanna book is also very interesting since even the basic version is huge. Seeing the very-oversized ones at a very reasonable price was really interesting. The signed book is twice as much though. It feels like for it being such a large sized collectors book and so limited, they would have made it a signed version. I've been trying to keep an eye out on newer releases and upcoming titles (there was a long period last year where a lot of titles were delayed to 2021/2022) which are finally starting to come out soon. There have been a few really interesting books recently released (and a few I'm looking forward to coming soon)! I like that some of these books are also being more creative with paper choices and multiple papers/materials being used within a single book based on the content of the image. Really hoping we start to see more books going for the larger size (13+ inches) and fewer on the 7x9 and 8x10 sizes. It's hard to go back to those!

What is the book of Peters that you didn't like so much? I'd love to see a documentary on his process. He captures emotion so well.

@@scrollop "The Light Between Us" - not a bad book by any means, and it comes in a great size book! My only disappointment is that many of the photos just didn't "wow" me like Personal or Selected Works did. Very happy to own it still. It's still in-print (so that alone is a big benefit over Personal, which can be expensive!) But it's not one of my go-to books like Personal (or even selected works, if it had been larger)

@M M I would still recommend selected works, but at this point I would suggest possibly waiting a few months to see if a larger sized, expanded version is announced as it's rumored. The book itself is quite small - a bit under 8x10" and the images all have a large white border around them which makes the visible image even lower (around 6 x 7.5 inches). The images selected didn't seem as strong as those in Personal, but there are still some very, very good ones in the book. It complements the other books nicely with images from the same shoots!

@@CoffeeTableBookLounge Not really any "Big Releases" I have seen coming in the next few months, but a few interesting, smaller recent releases and upcoming books I've been following have been: .. René Gruau - October 2021 An interesting looking fashion/art book (mostly pen/ink/watercolor opposed to photographs) but very interesting designs .. The Opera: Volume IX - April 2021 I've never had any of the "Opera" books, but they've always looked interesting. Lots of unique photo work in each volume. .. Taro Moberly: In Kyoto - July 2021 I recently discovered the book company "Trope Publishing" who has put out many very interesting photographer and travel books. I've purchased all of the currently released ones and looking very forward to this one focusing on photographer Taro Moberly .. Rebels: From Punk to Dior - September 2021 I don't know much about this book, but looking forward to more information prior to release .. Francois Nars: Persona - September 2021 Francois Nars does amazing makeup; his prior books were all very interesting so I'm looking forward to this extra large (14.17x18.11 inch!) 480-page photo book of portraits. This book has been delayed many times, hoping the new date holds true. .. Sara Cwynar: Glass Life - April 2021 Another very odd/interesting book! Not sure too much on the details, but looking forward to seeing/hearing more as release date nears. .. Eren Sarigul: Across Japan - June 2021 Another "Trope" book. Looking forward to this one! .. Tobi Shinobi: Equilibrium - May 2021 One final Trope Book. .. The New Beauty - July 2021 An "odd" fashion book, should be interesting! .. Laurent Castellani: Reverie - June 2021 A photographer I'm not familiar with, but a book that looks interesting already from the previews! .. André Carrara, Regards - April 2021 Another book from a single photographer I've not heard of but the samples look very interesting. .. Mothmeister: Dark and Dystopian Post-Mortem Fairy Tales - April 2021 A very dark horror-themes photo book. Mothmeister has released an early book which seems to be out of print. While I can't get that one, this new one looks even better! .. David Bailey: 128 Polaroids - June 2021 While I wish it was more than just 128 polaroids.. I'll take it! A decent sized book (10x13") which looks very interesting from the few samples released.. .. Captivate!: Fashion Photography from the 1990s - October 2021 Another fashion book with throwback photos from the 90's. I do enjoy these collections as many have great photos of the past. This is also a slightly larger book at just over 14 inches tall .. Albert Watson: Creating Photographs - May 2021 While a very inexpensive and small book, I do enjoy some of Albert Watsons other books and hope that this one has lots of photos included and isnt just a teaching-lesson. .. Katie Grand: A Girl Walks into a Bar - May 2022 This book has been constantly delayed for years. I've only seen sample photos from it before, but looking forward to what eventually comes of it! .. Vivienne Westwood: The Complete Collections (Catwalk) - June 2021. These "Complete Collections (Catwalk)" series of books are great! I have the earlier ones for the main brands (Gucci, YSL, Dior, Chanel) and look forward to Vivienne's style in this book. At 600+ pages, they're filled with photos! .. Justine Tjallinks: Past Present - July 2021 Very interesting photos with a victorian/gothic set of portraits throughout. .. Miles Aldridge: Please Please Return Polaroid - June 2021 A sequal to his earlier "Please return polaroid" book which had some very fun photos!

A few other questions for a possible future video (or just a reply here!) Displaying, tracking and cataloging books I'd love to see if you use any book displays to showcase single books if you do anything like that. I have the Taschen acrylic stand which is really nice and just picked up a larger acrylic open-book display stand. It's great for showcasing larger books on a table or for decoration. Do you use any cataloging software to track your books? I've used DVDProfiler software for years (for movies) and recently picked up the AllMyBooks software to track and dig through details of the books I own (and also prevent re-buying ones I might already have!). The CollectorZ software seems to be more popular but has a monthly fee. Do either of you use these? And lastly - this one ties to the question about displaying them on bookshelves that I asked about (for question 3). If you do store them on bookshelves, how do you currently store them? By size? Artist? By type of book (fashion, portrait, etc..?) Thanks again as always!

@@CoffeeTableBookLounge excellent! One other question I'm interested in.. is do you own multiple copies of any books? Such as a reading copy and a collector's copy? This is something I have done on a few books, in order to have one version to display on a stand and one to keep in mint condition. With some books being so fragile (such as the Pirelli 50 year book, which you're familiar with as having the bad binding), I have one copy that I use for displaying (opened to different pages on a book display stand) and one that I keep on a shelf to prevent damage. I've found myself doing this with a handful of books now, as displaying them does seem to put wear on them
