NEW RECORD!!! 1. Place, Graded 3 Race 1400 m |1:25:7 | Zwegat (GER) | Kincsem park, Budapest | GoPro
The first race in 2018 season for Zwegat. The idea was not to run first, but i guess one year of holidays gave him a lot of energy!
The Graded 3 race that almost gave me a heart attack, but ended good for all of us! Amazing to see so much power in a 8 Years old horse, born to win!
Zwegat already won this race in 2016 and set a new track record, but this year, he repaired it again.
The race was 15.4.2018
The rider Kuba Pavlíček
Racehorse trainer Živa Prunk who made this possible!
Kincsem park, Budapest

There’s nothing to feel bad about they’re treated like royalty and trust me if thoroughbreds don’t want to run they won’t
Even at 18 years old my retired racer Thoroughbred see's a track, or sees horses galloping and gets SO happy and excited, he LIVES for this, he goes from a couch potato to ears pricked, hot on his tip toes and snorting, I have to physically hold him back in case he decides to take off! Only wish he could do it again, but alas at his older age it would be bad on his joints in the long term, but what's a gallop or two and a bit of Cross Country every now and again for old times sake eh? Nothing like a Tb that truly loves to run, it's the most beautiful sight seeing them so happy and alive. I love these animals with all my heart

@kennablack7949
5 жыл бұрын
It sounds more like your horse has anxiety about race tracks, this is where he got whipped, trying to outrun the man on his back, surrounded by other horses trying their damn best to do the same, they tie racehorses tongues to their jaws because the jockeys need to balance all of their weight on the reins so stay in position, cant you see how this would be stressful? They're sinuses bleed because in order to breathe properly at this rate of movement they need to be able to seal their lips completely shut, but the bit is breaking that barrier and putting immense strain on the sinus. This entire process seems beyond stressful for any horse, especially a young one. There are horses who genuinely love to run, but I highly doubt any horse loves this situation, its terrible
@younicekeepgoing9062
5 жыл бұрын
@@kennablack7949 Wow. Uneducated af. Didn't you read the comment, or even the top comment on this youtube channel?? Not all race horses are treated like that, and horses were always meant to run far, and for a long time in the wild. And it's not hard balancing on in those stirrups since it's a long bane and quick turns. You think this is cruel, but what about showjumping? At least horses weren't meant to jump in the wild. Also. He said the ears are pinned to the race track, and he has to hold the horse back for it not to run off with him, that sounds more like a horse that's happy to do what's it's bred to do, more than a horse with anxiety. (Uncultered swine -.-)
love that he used sounds instead of the whip, he let the horse run his own race... very fast and well trained
@Maiasaur
Жыл бұрын
The whip IS a sound, they hit their wellingtons to make that CRACK noise, it is unethical to hit the horse it only happens in movies and if that does happen that's quite shameful. It did derive from 17-1800s western technique and old english, though it does not (should not) happen anymore. just wanted to let you know if you didnt :)

Such a fast horse!!! Great race!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
To the people that say that the racing industry is toxic and bad for horses - These horses are bred to be runners. The amount of work and training racehorses get when they’re 2yo is about 10 - 15 mins a day, 3 times per week. They do not gallop this fast daily for as long times, their training consists mostly of trot and canter sets, lunging and walkers. They get excellently taken care of, by people who know what they’re doing. They get holidays after races to return from that performance. After they’re retired from racing, they’re sold to people who are willing to retrain the horse, and then keep it or sell it off. Mares might become broodmares because of their excellent breeding for sport horses in general. They are NOT sold to kill pens. Most tracks have a no kill pen policy, and if it’s broken by a barn, they WILL be banned from that track. As for drugs used in the racing industry, if a horse is tested and comes out as positive before or after the race, all the horses from that barn will be tested for drugs. They do not get the prize money if they come in first place with a drugged horse, and their reputation will be highly damaged for kill pens and drugs. If you think about it, would it even logically make sense for extremely expensive, quality bred horses to be sent to the kill pen? Even financially it makes zero sense. They get better money if they sell the horse off to be retrained and to become a normal riding horse. A lot of people think that the racing industry is cruel, full of drug abuse and harmed horses. But if you take into consideration how expensive racing is, the prize money is just enough to keep doing racing, but that’s about it. So why are people involved in the racing industry including me? If not money, then what? We do what we do for the same reason that you ride horses and work with them. It’s because we adore and love our energetic, happy to run, horses who do what they love with energy. We love what we do, racing got publicity and as such is now seen as bad. PLEASE DO NOT CALL A SPORT “CRUEL” BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU SEE ON THE INTERNET! Do not tell people that what they do is wrong, even if you’ve never met anyone even close to the true side of the racing industry, the side that truly loves what they do.

Unfortunately not all yards are like this and as someone who's been in the industry all my life I've seen my fair share of kindness and my fair share of cruelty. There's always two sides to the story no matter what :(

Miss Stilton Lol im dying rn. If you've been in the industry all your life you'd know that they inspect the horses for injuries before each race. And if you think about it and use common sense, overworking a scared horse will cause it to panic, use self defense, or trip, fall, etc. I get it not every side of the racing industry is perfect but there's a lot of people who try to stop slaughter. Such as how America banned it. THE INDUSTRY SHOULD NOT BE BLAMED FOR A SINGLE PERSONS ACTIONS.

You probably just think horses are "cute". Well, have you actually seen horses fight? Like kick and bite eachother? Whips are like a feather duster to them. Do your research idiot.

If your an actual equestrian, you would understand horses kick, bite, and rear at eachother all the time, and they wall out fine. They also easily cut themselves. So the whip is nothing to them. Also, they aren't just sent to slaughter houses. Some of you dipsticks don't realize it's mostly American Quarters being sent to slaughter, along with other horses, not racer. If you have a million dollar horse, you wouldn’t kill it over something stupid. People actually send these horses to be jumpers, dressage horses, etc. at a horse show, a girl had a young race horse that didn’t do good on the track, but the owners sold it and now it’s a jumper. Do your research idiot

This is what it felt like for me when I was 7 sitting on a horse that was standing completely still then adjusted themselves
When someone says horse riding is easy u just sit and make noises Me: how about u try and stay in a horse this fast 😂
happy new year from the Philippines 😘🌷✌️🧡💚💚
Whistling to the horse helped immensely
I have a question. Why do horses always seem so scared in the little pens at the start? They all seem so nervous when they are lined up before the race starts and the doors open. Why is that?

They are antsy and wanting to run. Also, it's called a starting gate. As you saw, when they opened, the horses shot out and ran rlly fast.

LACECAP uhm no. My aunt owns breeds and runs racehorses all those horses come up to the gate just ready to be tacked up, and a bunch of ottb’s are sold because the owners see them as ‘useless’ (I’m not saying that’s okay at all though) over 90% of racehorses love too run.
Beautiful horse and good work!

That feeling when your horse is running so fast your leaning forward with the reins by they’re ears, The wind in your hair, you just wanna say woohoo as loud as you can while you have that huge smile on your face, racing the wind, that feeling that you have never felt before? That feeling is called Freedom.

One of the most beautiful creatures on the planet💞💞💞
People who say «poor horse», I don’t think you know what you are talking about. You won’t understand how well cared for these horses are untill you have seen and been in the sport yourselves. Sure, there will always be those who should never have a horse in the first place. You can find those owners in ANY horse sport, even outside the competing. I don’t think it’s fair too give all the hate to the horse racing.

Agreed, but horse racing is extremely bad for their bodies.

Daglig Dachs Its Not about the owners!! Its about the thing itself. It ruins their legs and is just cruel

Show jumping can ruin a horse’s legs too. In fact most horse equine sports can damage horses one way or another.
All respect wow svaka cast

Wow super fast well done 👍
I am someone who owns an ex racer, 12 years old, only ran 3 times, was a sprinter did so poorly it was unreal, but the owner kept him as a field ornament until I found him, he is absolutely full of energy, great personality and when he see's any open stretch he just wants to gallop off, even in the school he is a maniac but a happy one, loves to go at speed, a trot gets him excited, Thoroughbreds where bred to run, they where made for this, there are some bad race yards, but don't let a few bad apples get in the way of your judgement of racing as a whole, I have been to racing yards which adored their horses, they all had individual care and need assessments
