It's nice to know I'm not the only one too! 😅 I had also done the Jan Van Haasteren one, that so many people recommended, and I didn't really enjoy it for the same reason - constant referring to the box image 😬 I thought something was wrong with me for not liking it, but it seems like we all just have different tastes 😁👌🏻

Wow - you don't refer to the art on the box or poster normally? If you are going to refer to the box or poster, might I suggest a few things. Orient the "reference" image the same as the puzzle to avoid repititively turning you head and neck in just one direction. Also, mount the reference image near vertical so it can be viewed more closely and easily. We have or make stands for this purpose. Also, when we have a poster we affix it to something sturdy like poster board to make it as flat as possible. We often just glue the poster to something sturdy to make it as near flat as possible and remove as much of the "faceting" of the bent sections to reduce uneven lighting of the poster. I made a swivel so that we can rotate the poster throughout the day to avoid glare from the changing position of the sun.

I don't! 😅 Which I think makes me slower at times, as I don't know what the picture is 😂 Thank you for your suggestions! I have never puzzled with a poster before, so this was a completely new experience for me, but I'm used to referring to the box image, when I really have to 😊 I borrowed my friend's box stand, and it was very helpful when puzzling, but I wasn't able to find it anywhere online, to buy it in Slovenia 😬 I think I really need a box stand, because it takes time to keep reaching for the box and putting it back 😅

My goodness, one jigsaw fulfilled all the criteria in the puzzle challenge! 👍I've never got round to doing any Lawrence King puzzles. I do remember it being said that the quality depended on whether it was manufactured in China or the Netherlands. From what I recall I think the Netherlands one is better than the China one. Apparently the Chinese one is mainly two in/two out but the Netherlands have more piece shape variety. Seems like you had the China version, the back of the box should tell you if that is correct.

Yes, the ones made in the Netherlands are similar in quality to Jumbo/Cloudberries puzzles (blue board, varied cut), although apparently they've recently tried to standardize the cut/board quality between all their manufacturers, but I haven't tried one of the newer ones yet. I guess it's more common than we think! 😅🤷🏻‍♀️ I agree that it can be annoying, for one brand to have so many different qualities, because it makes buying the puzzles, and trusting the brand a lot more difficult! Great video 😁. I have also done that puzzle and I love the image, but it's definitely a difficult one. I'm impressed that you tried to speed puzzle it 😬👏. The one I had was with their manufacturer in the Netherlands, wich is much better quality than the one you have, wich looks to be from the Chinese manufacturer. The ones from the Netherlands are the same pieces as Cloudberries puzzles, and they have all the different piece shape types. I might be wrong, but as far as I understand, ribbon cut just means that the pieces are cut in a grid, but that it can still have all the different piece shape types. So a Ravensburger puzzle for example is a ribbon cut. I'm not sure that there actually is a word for a puzzle with only the two in, two out shape 🤔. But perhaps there shouldn't be a word for that, because those puzzles shouldn't exist 😆😉

And then you also have random cut pieces. It can become really confusing, because everyone uses different words 😅 Hahahaha I agree!! Those puzzles shouldn't exist! 😂😂👌🏻
