playing on PS5 while listening to music in your phone is actually such a good feature, you wont have to rely on spotify to listen to music as you game now.. soundcloud is going to quadruple in use now lol

They’re fantastic. I was gonna just return them if they were junk or uncomfortable! Nope easily 9/10 product maybe pushing higher. Finding good earbuds for ps5 is nigh impossible. All I wanted was some comfortable wireless ear buds that sound good and oh boy have Sony delivered here. I use these for Siege and I can truly hear now. I can hear a guy picking his nose in a rat corner from 20 feet away. Id pay dumb amounts of $$$ for that!

For me, I love my Pulse 3D, however, they just feel too tight whenever I use it in combination with my PSVR2. So these’ll be perfect for that! Not sure how often I’ll be wearing them for anything other than the PSVR2, might use them on certain occasions for PC, when I use both my iPhone and PC or Mac, right now I just wear a headset over my AirPods Pro, so those are really the only two use cases I can find where I benefit from having them. So maybe I’ll wait for a price drop

Listening to this with my Pulse Explore. Really happy with them for gaming use but I won’t be ditching my AirPods Pro anytime soon due to the lack of Noise Cancelling and Transparency modes, which are crucial for outdoor/public transport use If you’re someone who hates the feeling of over-ear headphones like me, these are perfect

How do these compare in sound to the Pulse 3D?

These are perfect with the dual sense edge controller, you can adjust the volume with the tabs on the controller! You never have to touch the ear buds

Mic sounds good for ear buds and thank you for showing mute on controller works. The mute button on dualsense does not work for Sony's other 2 headsets, PS5 launch pulse and inzone headsets which was crazy.

Hey SpawnPoiint do you know if you can switch between the pulse explores and the normal pulse 3d headset using the same dongle on the PS5? Or would you also need to switch out the dongle each time? Thanks great video as always

Curious about a comparison between these and the Inzone Earbuds?

Great review! I’m thinking of getting them but Idk if I should since I have my Pulse Elite headset. How do these two compare?

I’m tempted to get these, especially with the simultaneous Bluetooth connectivity (to listen to shows while playing)…but $200 with no ANC is a bit steep for me. Not to mention the battery lasting less than a DualSense. I dunno, I’m torn. I really want these for my Portal, but I think I’ll hold off for a sale or when I have rewards or a gift card to redeem.

I’ve ordered a set. For me they will be used for late night gaming when I’m playing story based games and not disturb my family in my house and when I don’t really need to use a mic just for getting the audio from my games

I've had these since the first week they came out and today, they're MUCH better than they were then. Today, there is an available EQ slider that allows you to adjust your ranges and we also know how to prevent them from disconnecting. They used to disconnect ALL the time. So, realize that the case is ALSO it's connection to the PS5. If you close the case, they will eventually lose the connection to the PS5. Closing the case appears to make the PS5 think you're charging them so it severs the connection to save power. That being said...Keep the case open while in use and you will enjoy these buds.

@SpawnPoiint Hi thanks again for your nice videos. But each reviewer forgets the Edge Controler FN buttons, Left / right for Voice chat mix control and up / down for volume control. So can we do that with the Pulse Explore since the H9 can't unless you put the dongle on PC mode, but then the rest will not work...

This was a thorough and good review! I do have a question: Does the light on the case indicate the battery of the charging case or the earbuds themselves? I want to check the individual battery life of my earbuds and I can’t seem to find where to see that anywhere. Thanks for any advice!

The case does show if it’s charging yes. And the PS5/Portal also shows the individual ear battery too.

Thanks for the advice and info I’m going to get the ps5 the disc version and everything else including the portal cuz I’m going to get a number of classic games both physical and digital for major single player campaign to play for a good long time.

for anyone wondering i have planar magnetic headphones (audeze maxwell) & it's a gamechanger in terms of keeping good audio & being able to easily hear enemies it's hard to explain i know Sony bought out audeze so they probably used them to make these so i'd think the audio is next level for a lot of people but have not tried them so it's hard to say Audeze Maxwell's are a good buy if you can afford it & like headphones :)

Planar magnetic bs is clearly overrated if no reviewers are absolutely raving and going crazy about the audio. In fact I’ve seen a few actually say the price may be too high. How can they be if it has this amazing expensive technology?

@@illogik i think a lot of people don't realize that mainstream "reviewers" don't actually know much of what they are talking about & sound is very subjective the big thing that planars do different is delivering a wider soudstage & higher quality audio & if you tweak the eq's afterwards to your liking you end up having incredibly high level audio matched with your prefered type of sound i was just saying that planar magnetics are generally better for sound & was comparing them to the audeze maxwells as i have those i said it in my comment but i do not have these buds & likely will not feel free to go & watch a few videos on planar magnetic drivers & the audeze maxwells & i am sure you'll only hear good things about the quality of audio for the money but then again some people don't know much & prefer 20 dollar earbuds priced to 300 dollars because it's the next trendy thing to buy lmao

I had no clue that Sony bought into Audeze. I wasn't too sure on Sony Planar's, but knowing this, I'll absolutely be getting the updated Pulse 3D headset.

I want a good sound quality for music and movies too so my question is if i connect the usb to my TV will i have the extremely fast response by the buds ? They don't have ANC so you can hear other people in the room, but as they fit snug in the ear it's like putting your fingers in your ears and trying to hear others lol

You can connect your AirPods pro2 if you have a Bluetooth dongle. I’m doing that and I’m using one by Ugreen.

I managed to bag a PS Portal from yesterday’s PlayStation Direct store drop, so that’s going away for my Christmas from my wife & I’m getting these next month for my birthday 😊

I just got mine in today. I was legit surprised with the sound quality. Stoked to review these. I'll keep my AirPods pros around easily for hearing my surroundings but these are impressive. Also bring back that crispy water homie. Cheers.

I really need these for the 3d audio after a long session with my headset lmao

so i picked these up too... had to rexperiement with the different eartips, ending up using tips from two differnet sets to get it just right. seconly, when connecting to pc make sure you chose the Playstation Link as the Pulse explore option sound is way to quiet

Here’s a question I have regarding the Pulse Explore. Do they have Noise Cancellation? Meaning they isolate most sounds to make sure whatever it is you’re listening to is the only thing you’re listening to. Very like how certain headphones have that feature like the Beats Studio Pro, Sony XM5 and Air Pods Max. I think that feature would be ideal if I were to bring my Portal to another person’s use or a restaurant with WiFi and I want to listen to my game without having to worry about background noises.

They don’t have Active Noise Cancellation but you can get pretty good passive noise isolation with the right fitting ear tip.

Definitely the nova pros. These earbuds are nice and sound great, but the novas are better for gaming imo

Since day 1, i plug wired earphones that i got with samsung phone into 3.5 jack port on controller - decent sound and mic, more then enough for gaming and only one low battery to worry about :)

I use use these all the time but they sound amazing and really great for music

I want to buy an LG C3 OLED screen, but I am afraid of burning pixels. Is the problem corrected or is there a risk of burning? I am hesitant about this problem

I wonder how these compare to Genki's buds, as both have dual-connect options, tho the Genkis connect via the case and not a bespoke dongle otherwise unused in the earbuds
