New Planet Discovered By Scientists May Be Inhabitable | 10 News First

Scientists have discovered a new planet, named Gliese 12b, that they believe may be inhabitable.
It orbits a red dwarf star, which being significantly smaller than the sun meaning it falls within the habitable zone where water, and hence life, may exist.
The exoplanet, meaning a planet that is outside the Solar System, is calculated to have a surface temperature of 42 degrees and is close to Earth’s size.
However, while it is the closest of it’s kind to be discovered, experts still have said that at 40-light-years away, it would still take 225,000 years to actually reach Gliese 12b in a spacecraft.

42 degrees eh? Put humans on it for a few years and add in some coal and we’ll bump that up to 60 degrees in no time 🔥

Change the word inhabitable with habitable, and you have a headline

Considering Earths average temperature is 15 degrees celcius, the word that has to be removed from "probably inhabitable" is the other one.

Gliese 12b? Interesting. If this planet does have water, then there's a chance that life may actually exist on this planet. If so, they might only be in the water for now, considering that probably single celled organisms live on this planet. There may also be multi-cellular organisms living on this planet, because despite it being a bit hot, the temperature may just be cool enough for multi-cellular organisms to live there. So, in this context, this planet is probably somewhat habitable for complex life, but there would probably be simple life for the most part.

Only a trillion light years away ok im sure its star will be a neutron star by the rime we can get a rover on the planet 😂😂
