So excited for you! I agree that your last pregnancy absolutely counts as a pregnancy. Just because the pregnancy didn’t last for months doesn’t mean he/she counts any less. I have high hopes for this transfer. You’ll have your rainbow baby. ❤

I definitely see this as your rainbow baby. Even if that chemical pregnancy was really short, you found out you were pregnant, then never got to hold a baby in your arms at the end. Thats a whirlwind of emotions i can only imagine. Sending love and hope for this baby ❤

Hey Mindy, I never hope or wish. I always Pray. God is with you good or bad whatever the outcome .he has plan for each and everyone one of us. I wouldn’t call your baby Nemo , to me it’s a blessing. I had a chemical pregnancy and I totally understand how you feel about that. I secretly hold that baby in my heart but I also don’t like saying “I had a miscarriage” because it feels almost untrue. It’s a really tricky balance with my own emotions and others emotions

Even if you don’t feel comfortable saying you had a miscarriage, maybe it would make you feel better to acknowledge it by saying that you had a loss? Because IMO, you did. When that embryo didn’t make it, every single moment of the rest of your life changed. Sending love to you and to the little one that you hold in your heart.

IMO, an embryo is already a person, whether it is carried to term or not. So if you lost an embryo at any point in its life, that counts as “a loss.” Even if you had never had a positive pregnancy test, you lost that child, and that changed every single minute of what the rest of your life would have been like, if you had not lost that embryo. I had a failed transfer at one point in my journey, and I still consider that a huge loss for my life. I make it a point to celebrate that child every year on what would have been her due date. So YES, Nemo 2.0 will be a rainbow baby if he or she makes it!

Good luck with the next one! I really hope you pass!! I’m 11 weeks pregnant right now and due in January with my first and it would be so awesome to go through this journey the same time as you!! 🥹

Don’t worry about what other people think Mindy! When you get pregnant again this will be your rainbow baby. My rainbow baby is 10 now and thriving. She’s beautiful and healthy. Her brother had a condition called Trisomy 18 and lived a little under two hours.

Now that people name everything, including life events such as pregnancy after loss , i think you're right , you call it what you feel , it's not like you are ignoring the fact of a not viable pregnancy...i just recently figured out i miscarried a month before concieving at around 15 days pregnant...my earth side was high risk pregnancy and has a heart condition that made the first 73 days of his life be in the NICU... he's a miracle anyways rainbow baby , first born any way you call it.

@@tereza2271 Actually, studies find only children are content, however, they tend to measure themselves with an adult yardstick and therefore grow up so fast. When you have a sibling you will stay in the “childhood” mode longer and it also helps learning conflict/resolution. I see an incredible bond with my 2.

I had one IVF three years ago, it is such an emotional time. Little guy will be three in October. Hope all goes well!!🎉❤

I had a dream last night that I was at the hospital with you and Larry. I dreamed you gave birth to a dark haired 7lb 6oz baby girl named Charlotte, and I even got to hold her! The dream felt so real. I truly felt like I was there with you guys. It’s even more crazy, because I have a daughter named Charolette who just turned 10 last week. ❤️ I may not physically be there on delivery day, but I am spiritually with you guys every step of the way. I have faith Liam will get his new brother or sister this go around! I also can’t wait to see you with your pregnant belly. You absolutely glow!! Just keep swimming Nemo 2.0!! 🥰
