I just got this in the mail today and I'm excited to try it. I have combo skin and already use their BHA, but IMO the benefits of AHA are different enough that I like to use both types of ingredients. Out of curiosity, why shouldn't this be used with niacinamide? It tends to work well with almost anything.

You will love it! And yes you can always switch between them For niacinamide, It’s because of the PH levels niacinamide is formulated with a neutral pH, and acids are a low PH. So if you mix acids and niacinamide together, the niacinamide could raise the pH level of the acid, making it less acidic. That means the acids could be less effective. Acids can also affect the performance niacinamide as the acidic conditions can trigger its conversion into niacin. At the end of the day, it all comes down to the product formulation. I believe you can use Paula’s choice niacinamide fine with their acids as they state, but other brands say different. So if you are mixing brands I always recommend to use seperately to reap the full benefits :)

if you use this, are you still able to use stuff like vitamin c serums and fade creams on top of it to help fade the dark spots/hyper pigmentation?

Yes but depending on the brand whether or not you can use it on top, I would use vitamin c separately. You won't need to use this liquid exfoliant daily, so you can use your vitamin c on the other days x
